Drizz-OH! build/progress thread

This set-up will definetly roar, I'm ineterested to see how the custom work will turn out. Maybe if you have a HD camera you could post a video after the work to show us the sound? Just a thought.

And like Steve said, mad props to all the work you've done... Very unique indeed.

Thanks Dub.

Oh Steve don't worry. I'll still be running 4 cats so that should take care of any rasp problems. I just want a nice, deep, hella loud exhaust note. But like I said, if I don't like it then I'll add in a res and call it a day.

Personally, I think it looks awesome with canisters. Nirosh's car was my inspiration for the custom build (he's running the Tanabe Concept G). Here's a pic of his car, my tips will closely mirror his: http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/8887/94147475.jpg

After seeing that pic, if it turns out like that, it'll look good. I guess muffler choice plays a big part in how that turns out.

:D See I told you it's good lol. And yes, provided I like the sound I'll try to record a vid. My digi cam takes videos so that's what I would be using. I hope it comes out nicely!

And yes, the tips are almost identical.

Exhaust is on. Sounds clean as shiiiiiiitttt! I changed my original plan tho. I was planning to go with 2.5" tubing all the way from the cat to the mufflers, but then I was under the car looking @ the system with the shop and then we were like...it's already 2.25" tubing, another 1/4" isn't gonna make a big difference, so I ended up just upping the tubing from the axle-back to 2.5" and changing the mufflers. They are the same as the Magnaflow canisters pictured above, only with a 2.5" inlet. Kept the stock resonator and it sounds amazing. A lot louder than I was expecting but it's a very clean growl. Louder and cleaner than the MF catback IMO.

No pictures tho since my camera sucks ass @ night. Hopefully this weekend, as tomorrow is going to be a ridiculously busy day.

Fixed the pic you referenced earlier in the thread Andrew. That way you don't have to click on the link.

Melon launchers, that's a new one, but I like it.

Ha thanks Steve but I liked it as a link. This is my thread not Nirosh's, lol.

I understand, but it makes things easier on everyone. You credited him, so I didn't see a problem just making it a link. And I'm pretty sure noone got confused if that was your car or not ;-)

Pics or ban.

Holy lol.

Taking the mod train down a different track!!! lol (headbang)

I personally dont care how exhaust looks, the sound makes the exhaust in my eyes. But the pic of the other car you posted looks great. Im actually super interested to see it on your car. (friday)

Hehe it sounds great and looks even better.

Just installed the RPM Smoked LED Rear Reflectors. Back end of my car looks great now. Just gotta rip off the Mazda6 Badge and I'm done. Whooop! Gonna do that then wash up the 6 and hopefully shoot some new forum-worthy pics.

Smoked rear reflectors with the OEM MS6 tail lights should look really nice against the pebble ash... pics, pics, pics...

Baaaaah my heat gun is broken. Gotta get a replacement tomorrow. Had to keep the Mazda6 badges on. :( lol.

Looks great! Fishing line & lighter fluid works well with that too. The only thing I can't really tell is how close the mufflers are to the rear bumper. You gonna have enough clearance so you don't melt them?

They're about 1/4" from the bumper. And, I planned on using fishing line w/ Goof Off (like usual) but a heat gun helps get the residue off easier. Thanks tho Steve!

I've been toying with the idea of the smoked rear reflectors too, since a local member mentioned them and I don't like the bright red reflector on the bumper. What did you wire yours into?
