I'm 3k from going over my basic warranty and the turbo is possibly going out. Need to know if it is covered under the Drive Train warranty, if not, what is exactly? The below statement leaves a lot to imagine.

Drive Train Warranty: In some cases the drive train warranty continues after the basic warranty has expired. This part of the warranty covers most of the parts that make the vehicle move, including the engine, transmission, drive axles and driveshaft. Like the basic warranty, consumable parts such as hoses and belts are not covered. However, most of the internal parts of the engine, such as the pistons and bearings, which are also subject to wear and tear, are covered by the drive train warranty.

direct from the mazda website. and dont let the dealer tell you otherwise

Turbo is absolutely part of the drive train.

one thing to note, make sure that when you take it in bring ALL your oil change receipts (if they didn't do them). Mazda USA has been getting hammered with faulty turbo seal issues and they've been passing the buck as "you didn't maintain it".

obviously, depends on the dealer, but i've heard multiple reports of it.

good luck.
