Anyone use double DIN headunits? I'm considering looking for a unit with more power, better clarity for around $150... Don't see any on crutchfield but they used to have a lot of these for sale.

The double din headunit I want is the Kenwood DDX-7015. Plays DVD's, 7" screen...nice!!!
There are a few others out there...jensen, kenwood, I think panasonic too all make one that has tape/cd/radio. I'm personally a kenwood fan. Sorry...don't have one myself though.

150 for a DD? not likely, and definitely not a lcd

double dins in general though are t3h seckz IMO.

the DDX mentioned above was my HU of choice though it sucks since you will have to buy a 1400 dollar unit (or around there) to use it for navi. The pioneer avic-d1 is nice also but believe it or not while navi is included you need to buy an external dvd player.......

for 150 you might be able to get a stocker out of a tahoe or a f-150 or something but i think thats about it for DD.

Clarion, Eclipse, Kenwood, and Pioneer make them. To my knowledge, only the clarion doesn't have an LCD screen in it. But all are far north of $150.

For that money, get an amp. Head units don't have any more clarity then the stock deck and only 50% more power at best.

Yeah, the more I look around I think I'll just get an amp. Looks boring with stock HU but less chance of theft too.
