I hear a cliking noise when i depress the cluch. Anyone had this problem or have any ideas?

Do you hear it every time you depress the clutch, even if your foot is completely off the gas pedal and the car is stationary (in neutral and idling)? Under those circumstances I don't hear anything.

It sounds like a spring or a bad spring in a switch. It is def not a relay. Thank you for the suggestions.

This place is too damned lonely, therefore, story time. Anyways, how many miles have ya got on the car? And did it happen recently? My clutch switch (think the bottom one) was losing its springy feel and so whenever I engaged/disengaged, I would get a noise and a tingling sensation. My car is roughly 28k and an 07. Took it in and after arguing with a particular stealership, I got that problem resolved after the mechanic on duty fixed and demonstrated the clutch to me and asked me if I heard anything. Not at that moment no.

Not even driving 100 or so feet after I dip my clutch in, switch to 1st, engage, **CLICK**. Odd, turned it right around and had them take another look. Mechanic looked at me straight eyed after testing it and said, "It's normal. Check out the other pedals they do the same thing." Service manager then looks at me, "Is everything cool then?," in a slightly annoyed tone. I just bit my lip and nod. Go home, go online, and asked on a different forum if the clicking was normal. Maybe 4-5 posters responded they experienced the same thing since Day 1 and was normal as well. Fine. Next day, CEL gets thrown up and I drudgingly bring it to my original dealership. Ugh. Turns out the friggen switch box was improperly installed and once it was tightened, all fine and dandy. YMMV.

I had my clutch pedal replaced twice under waranty. One click is normal but if you are getting multiple clicks there is a problem. My third clutch pedal was still giving me problems so the dealership installed a damper. This only muted the noise and I was still getting clicks when I released the clutch slowly. Very annoying. To make a long story short I got in there myself and noticed the clutch return spring was getting stuck as it was released. I took some lithium grease and sprayed it all over the sprind. Its hard to see the spring by the way. You need to hold the clutch pedal down and lie on your back with a flash light. Since I have done this the clutch is silky smooth and doesn't click at all. Has anyone at mazda every heard of lubrication.
