Doc B Racing reports from Shannonville...

Hi Tom,

Sorry to hear that was the reason for your early retirement from the race on Sunday. We too had a bit of an overheating issue which resulted in Brian cutting the race short as well - around the 34min mark of the 40min race. :(

The next event is the Steelback GrandPrix of Toronto which is definitely going to be a spectacular event!

See you at the track!

Mike

Tom, it was good to meet you at Shannonville. I look forward to racing with throughout the season!

I'm sorry to hear about your luck in Sunday's race! As Mike mentioned above, we ran in to some technical difficulties late in the race after we'd managed to move up some 8-10 spaces before retiring.

Hopefully we'll see you at the Grand Prix of Toronto on July 6/7/8, it should be a very exciting weekend!

Thanks Again to everyone for the support!!(2thumbs)

Regarding the gears....since at this time we are only making replacements for third and fourth (and the rest we are running OE gears) you cannot mix straight cut with helical so the gears we had made are helical like the OE gears but are made of a much stronger alloy.

We have not yet run them since there was a problem with 4th gear....they are going back and the manufacturer promises to make them work....we hope to test them soon!! Once we are able to have some of our own data on them we will make them available.

I can post a pic of higher resolution or would a link be better??

Again, thanks for the support!!!

Any updates on the gears? I am waiting for someone to come out with a set of straights for the tranny.

We currently have one race weekend on the newly designed set. Waiting for a little more time on them before we give them the (yupnope). The gears are helical cut to match with the rest of the OE gears (can't really mix straight cut with helical).

Should have more info after the next race weekend!!(drive)
