no... colorado either... lotsa subies in CO....
i think it is a combo. looks she doesn't like, she says they sound like old VWs when you add a CBE (she's kinda right, however old 1300s didn't pack over 300hp from the factory) i figure an old ex-boyfriend must have had one or something...
i saw a new sti on the tollway today... all black with the goldish/bronzish wheels... it actually looked pretty good... it wasn't the hatch, though... bleck. (sick)
believe me... those subies are some bad lil mofos! i know it took me to the end of second gear in my old V8 luv to outrun one a few years ago... that thing was on me like a rash... pulled me hard out of the hole, but i went by him in first gear... then he stayed right on my rear quarter until we got about 90, then i moved on away .... but i wasn't pulling away that hard! needless to say, i was impressed.....
having looked at and driven just about all of the vehicles in this price range, a few over (like the sti) a few under (sentra vspec)... of all, i still felt the MS3 to be more to my style of driving...
and after a quick trip through the twisties on the way to mom and dad's to pick up the baby (one of the main reasons i wanted this car)... i feel i made a great decision... wonderful little car..
this is my first turbocharged car... what a hoot boost is... WHOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHH.
this really makes me want to build a turbo rotary...... or even a SBC with a turbo.... muhhahahahahahhaaa (writhing hands)....

the new sti is only offered in a hatch. If it was a sedan it was probably an 06-07

honestly... i've been really fond of the mazda 3 hatches for a long time... a good friend abused one... he loved that car! it hauled him and his son all over, racing bikes and competing in adventure races and triathalons.....
R.I.P., uncle roger... i miss you every day... he passed away two years ago, abrupt heart failure... 50 years old... we used to joke about how he had a 20 yr old body... he would outlive us all... sniff.
that was a pretty car, and he liked it...
my sister (EXTREMELY hard on cars), had a millenia that she drove like mad... she always maintains her cars... then punishes them severly... she also loved that car.. i thought it ran great... like it enjoyed the abuse... hehehe.
i was sure my next econo-ride was going to be a regular mz3... regular hatch... then i saw and test drove the speed3... it was on my list of test drives of cars with 200hp or more, my new requirement...
i drove a few more cars, just to be sure... but it was over... MS3 all the way.... or FTW, as i just learned... or FTFW... to be smart...
i also fell in love with the looks... the regular mz3 is a nice looking car.. right wheels for the job... more horseys than anything else... (178, i think?)... but the cool hoodline of the speed3... hehehe... i always think of chuck norris' chin...
there is no chin behind chuck norris' beard. there is only another fist.
if this car remains trouble free, and blasts me around every now and then, it is on the fast track to becoming a favorite.... and i haven't even pushed it that hard... well... maybe a bit
and i just put mile 900 on it...

i belive your talking about turbo6girl, the cars is stock motor wise she has a cat delet and thats it for performance he thinks its amazingly fast though kinda seemed like a doushe too

yeah, FHs everywhere! it doesn't take much time or money to be a FH.
it is kind of the same when i had my SS nova, a car that i liked to keep as factory looking as i could... a few well thought out performance pieces.... it was quick but all of my friends were faster...
some of my favorites:
'why don't you put on some centerlines, or weld wheels?' (mine had the stock SS wheels) ... you ever try to panic stop a car with 3" wide front drag tires??
'man that thing would look so much better with a tunnel ram sticking out of the hood' ... yah, i wanna destroy my factory SS hood...
'you should swap in an automatic, 4-speeds are slow' (actually true but still, WTF?)
'that z-28 LT-1 intake doesn't work, you need a victor jr.'...
'why don't you run ladder bars, and jack up the back? that would make it faster'
'does it have a posey rearend? (yes, pronounced like the flower)
'what's a 'turbojet 350'? does this thing have a turbo?'
'they never made an SS nova with a bench seat and a 4-speed, your car is obviously a clone' .... this guy was too much.
