do you guys feel the mitsu 2.6L motor is solid

mine needs some work and im debating weather or not its going to be worth 1000 bucks worth of work, its got 96000 on it and the bodys fine im just wondering about the motor, its got a new carb also
 
Not sure about the mistu engine. 96 k says to me time for the head to be overhauled and the rings to be changed in the bottom end.

I think it was 88 when Mazda switched to a G6 engine which is different from the Mistu motor.

Can you put up a picture of the engine in your truck?

I could tell by looking at it.

well im not feeling up to the 350 but i was wondering if you knew of anywhere i could get a stock replacement crate motor?

There is a guy local to me who swapped a 4.3L Chev motor and swapped to a 4 Barrell High Rise Carb to avoid wiring issues...
The Truck goes like stink and is more than enough power to move the B Series around :D
 
I have seen the JE 3.0 DOHC V-6 installed into the B-series truck before. That engine would bolt up to the transmission.

There was also a shop in california which put a 20B into a truck as well for a parts hauler.

nice, well even though the 2.6 is a little slow im sure that when you almost double it, they move a little bit
