do u dislike ur mazdaspeed?

I dont like the damn racket that my interior makes. I need to put foam and dynamat everywhere.

If I dont sell it I am hoping that leather interior will make me happy

(mswerd) You know where I could get some foam for my sub enclosure rattling? What is a good kind of foam to use? Dynamat is hella expensive, and I'm not even sure that is the right matieral for the application.

Ice Guard from Home Depot. Very close to dynamat, no where near the cost.

Except for the center panel rattle (something inside), I love my MSP. It's finally getting to a point where the car feels like a part of me.

its not teh sub enclosure, inside the back of the car the plastic part with the triangle kenwood things on it, if u press down on where middle brake light would have been for normal protege's it stops the rattle, so find a way to have it pressed down. I used a suction cup and placed it between the window and the plastic part to hold it in place. NO rattles no matter how high the bass.

Well, I took my sub enclosure out recently. I wasn't haven't any problems with it making noise before, but I did notice the original padding on it was very worn(down to nothing) on the left side after taking it out. Now that I have put it back in, it constanly creaks and rattles as I drive(not a rattle from loud bass), and I have a pretty good feeling that is the cause of it. I'm not even sure what you mean about the triangle kenwood part, are you talking about those fake speakers covers?

ya i was using tht as a reference cuz i dunno wht tht whole plastic part is called. U take the whole thing off to reach the top of the struts, tht part.

OK, i see what you are saying now, damn that might be the problem too, since I was messing with that a little bit. Thanks for the info.

I own one now for a little over a year. I was sold on the car without driving. Why? Cuz I cared about the little factor called handling more than HP. This is the car that I can learn good footwork technique to advance to a bigger car (power-wise not phsyical dimension). I love it that it's not overpowering where you can use your power to mask some fundamental problems. You have to be good with techniques to drive it fast, yet it's not unforgiving (snap oversteering). Also, there wasn't a car in its price range with that kind of handling. So what it's a little "underpowered" if driven right, it's still very fast for majority of the car and "drivers" you see on the road today to give them a good run (non-straightline of course). As one famous member here say:

I LOVE MY MSP!!(thumb) :) (dance) :p

personally...i think msp owners don't actually hate there car so much...but the dealerships that they have to take them to to get them fixed when something goes wrong. like me for example i only have one dealer to go to and they are total dickheads to me. the nearest dealer to take it to is about 2-3 hours away. i don't wanna exactly drive that far just for work. so i think that has something to do with it.
