Do I need these to change out Bose Speakers?

I am planning to remove my door panels and finally change out all the speakers in the bose system in my speed3. I am going to be using the factory wiring. If there is connector on the speaker like this:

I'd rather buy some adapters and not have to cut anything. Am I right in believing I need something like this then:

Need? No. Worth having? Yes. You could just use T-taps so that you don't have to cut off the factory connector.

Make sure to get speakers rated for 2 ohms (due to the output from the Bose amp).
