dissapointment in this community...

when i came into this community about 2 years ago, i was hoping to find some helpful guys, that won't put me down on anyhting i do and give me reasons as to way this or that didn't work

i've made some really good friends thru this board, i've met alot of guys who trully are all about friendship and we all shared one love, and one need....
love for mazdas
need for speed...

it has been brought to my attention the last couple of days, that some people who shall remain nameless due to professionalism...
are making people very uncomfortable in this place, which i think, was design to get people together.

This forum, in the last couple of years, has gone thru alot of changes...as you can see under my avatar, this isn't my 49th post...i've been around alot...gathering knowledge with which i was able to build an engine....thnx to those people who actually, wihtout bashing, made comments about stuff i was doing.

it is a sad thought, that after all this, some people are still "internet-bullies" who would pick on whoever fofr whatever reason, they think that by hiding behind a computer, they can do whatever the **** they want...
it is also sad, that MODERATORS in this board don't do anything baout protecting their members....
there has been threat and defamation of character, two things that are actually illegal, and punishable by law in the united states and many other countries, yet...in this environment it seems that noone cares...

I for one, see it everyday....people just talking bad about others...
i can understand pointing out scammers...money is involved...but the things that go around here are plain childish...

I hope, that even tho moderators probably don't get paid, they start doing a better job.
I'd like to know where can i submit an application to become one to finally put some control over what goes in here and stop the bashing and other useless stuff.

Everyday we're loosing some very insightful people who just chose not to come around here anymore...
We ban vendors...
We ban members for speaking their minds..
yet..
this "CYBER-BULLING" continues wihtout being stoped by anyone...

There definitely have been some threads all over the forum where a member does not display internet courtesy. But I suspect that is just the nature of the offenders and it makes them feel semi-important to flex their e-vaginas. You just have to ignore them and not let it affect you and your desire to participate and contribute to the forum IMO.

You have to realize a Mod can only do SO much. People are people. Internet or not you are going to have those asshats running around shitting on people. What can you do then? Go to the president? No. You deal and realize that's life.

If you see something, say something. This forum is HUGE, and we simply cannot read every single post and thread made. We rely heavily on the "report this post to a moderator" button that is underneath every post made. When that is done, emails are sent to the moderators of that forum. I also get the emails from all sections. Depending on the time of day, most reported posts get taken care of quite promptly. You could also send a PM, email or IM to a moderator or admin with a link to the problem thread or post.

Any member that has been banned, has been given multiple warnings, at least 3, and in most cases, many more than 3. It takes a *lot* to be banned here, unless of course you are simply a spammer.

There have only been two vendors that have been banned. If you wish to know more about what happened, there is a lot of info in the public threads if you search. If you still do not find the answer you are looking for, send me a PM and I will explain further. Please understand that all details, specifically the names of people who gave us information when the situation was being discussed between the admins, cannot be divulged, as these people came forward on the condition of anonymity.

If you have concerns that you wish to discuss with me privately, please do not hesitate to PM me. If you have any suggestions, also do not hesitate to let me know. If you're pissed off at the administration and just want to vent, do not hesitate to PM me too

(This of course goes for everyone, not just Alejo_NIN).

I'm going to leave this thread here for a little while, at least until Alejo_NIN responds or PM's me. Then it will be moved to the Website Help/Feedback section, as it is a more fitting place than here.

yea, my post has to do a little with what happened with my friend....but is not something that is new either...

telling people to go watch a girly movie is just plain stupid...that's my comment on that...

some poeple agree with me, some others don't...

i guess forums have no organization, as everyone just does whatever they want and people let them do whatevr they want by just ignoring them

i know this isn't a democrazy or communism or feudism, or any other kind of polical non-sense...

but there are some basic principles that we can follow, like respecting others....
it is even on the forum agreement if i'm not mistaken(rules or something)

lol @ asshats. These boards are goldmines of information and we are all here for a common cause. Everyone has differences of opinion and thats just something we have to deal with. Some people are dicks, and some people are helpful. Haters are everywhere and honestly I think this board has a better overall attitude than most. I havent been around long enough to know the past of this board but from where I joined to now - I feel this board is heading in the right direction.

Instead maybe you should offer a brief explenation of the problem and possible solutions for it and then this thread would be constructive. Otherwise it's just gonna be more B.S. and arguments.

in case you don't know what that is:

Dude, just like your friend miguel all you can do is flame and insult. If you actually did any research into my posts you will allways see that I help people out and try to resolve problems.

As per your signature, the post I made above covers that too....if there are members with signatures that violate the rules, let me know! They will be taken care of promptly.

For the last time -- We cannot monitor every single post, thread, signature, etc. We read as much as possible and when a violation is seen it is dealt with. But we rely on members informing us of sig violations, flames, spam threads, and other "bad things". I get several emails, PM's, and IM's every day and take care of the reported posts. Many times, someone else beat me to it and the post was already edited or deleted.

Think of it like speeding on the highway 10 over the limit. Most everyone does it, but occasionally you are the one to get caught. In this case, your signature was noticed to be too big. You got "unlucky" and "got busted".

It really is as simple and cut and dry as that....don't make things more complicated than they actually are.
