how much did all of this cost?
too much ;) (rofl)

But seriously, A lot of it was money spent overtime so I can't really give a number and not sure I want to calculate that number. lol

jr where did you get an act clutch rated 350-375 tourqe capacity ...and how is the street ability compared to stock?

i dont think thats the same clutch that he has because jr's holds more tourque and uses a street disc

well this is all he wrote about it..."ACT clutch with Extreme Pressure plate and street disc (350-375 ft tq)"

Wow, that is so pimp man. I can't belive you ripped apart your 03.5 like that.....lol.

Is your warrenty voided?;)
I would think so but he isnt going to need a warrenty cuz that engine isnt going to blow anytime soon...unless its super poor tuning...and if somehow you didnt torque something tight enough.

Void your warrenty if everything is bullet proof...warrenty only fixes defect like a headlap or map light. Its not like the MSP came with a defective engine to begin with. The car only has minor problem to beginin with so no dealer is going to replace your engine unless its their fault like not screwing the oil filter tight enough. Car engine arent deisinged to blow up if its daily driven. If an engine blow it usually means you been tamepring with it and thus no warrenty. If the car does have a recall it will be done reguardless. Only other thing I woul worry about is the LSD but other then that I think you have a very good platform. As I said its not hard making a car go fast. its just hard to control it. Cant wait to see the number. Then you can go brag about it and crank down the boost so you wont spin your wheels too much.

congrats nice work...now you have the engine to back up the MSP.

EVILSRT...this might be one of the few MSP that can match up to you...eh? When are you gonna complete your 400 hp beast?

The biggest "Street disk" is the stage IIR and it's on my car now. It's holding well past 15 Psi and it's still very streetable. A little faster friction point but very easy to manage with a bit of thought.

iirc, any act pressure plate can be matched up with any disk they run provided they are for the same car. when i ordered mine for my dsm i got to pick pressure plate and disk separately. i ended up with an xt-ss, which is probably what he's running. xt means extreme pressure plate, ss means full face street disk.

Great post... my thoughts exactly on that.:)

The clutch that I got was a one off from ACT. I am not sure if it's in wide production yet. But Jeff from ProParts USA hooked me up.

The model number is: Z66-XTSS

It's a street disc with extreme pressure plate, and while it's a stiff clutch is still extremely streetable.

Thanks alot jr thats the info i was looking for and by the way how is the car running and stalling problems or problems of that nature? and do you still get the turkey with this turbo setup?

The car is running fairly well now. I had a string of problems after the upgrades and I am still working on resolving them. Primarily broken radiator fans, cracked exhaust manifold (present from before this whole upgrade process began), and parts on back order or shipping delays.

Give me a few more weeks and I'll get it all 100% up to par.

ACT is very good. I have the heavy duty pressure plate which is softer than Jared's and a street disc and is holding still. We ran the 12.5 at 112 MPH with this clutch that we have since we installed the kit 2 years ago.

The HD PP is what I got with my setup and I was really happy, it holds but remains driveable.

I only got mine this spring but it's great to hear that it will stand up the abuse over 2 years for you.
