Difference....hmmmm

I wanted to know if there was a difference in appearance in gauges from the 2002 and 2003 model P5. I know the 02 is red looking at nite which I really dont like. I wish it was a white LED like an Accord. If you guys have nite pics of the 03' P5 please show me =o)

I believe the gauge faces are slightly different colors, but other than that, the illumination is still very much RED . Many people here on the forum have easily changed the lighting color behind the dash however.

YEAH! I heard it was possible to change the lighting color of the dash, but how would you do that? I kinda like the amber tho...it looks cool.

Sounds cool, but is there a way to change the whole dash and console to all LED white? That would be so cool...

i think you have to revome all the gauge needles. Which most people have broke when they attempted to do it. I'd be careful. I would love to have blue lights like the VW's. but i am afraid to break my needles.

my 03 is closer to a red-orange color. My friend's 96 A4 is blood red but kinda dark at night. I get tons of complements regardless...day or night. One friend was remarking about how cool the white/ivory faced gauges looked, and then that evening he was blown away when they lit up in red-orange. You don't expect the color looking at them in daylight.

I agree about the newer VWs. My boss from my last job had a 2000 Beetle and the red and blue colors complement each other nicely.
