Did they let you test drive before buying?

close..........

Busy day, I see; RE! Excellent stuff - except for one small difference......
I LOVE MY (Higher Boost) MAZDASPEED!!! (k) (k) (k) (k) (k)

And be noted that the increase in the strength of his battle cry means the "demons" are trying to surface even harder.

Oh and the only busy day I have is when the dang forum won't refresh fast!! Leaves alot of posting to catch up :D

Believe me, corporate Mazda does NOT want dealers to strong arm people. Anything said like that is merely feeding you a line. The problem is that in this country, dealers have the ultimate power over things like service, pricing, sales, etc. Laws protect them. Case in point; Ford has tried to get dealers to drop the After Dealer Profit on the Thunderbird since it came out in 2001. Some dealers charge as much as $20,000 over MSRP and for the most part, dealers ignored Ford's pleas. People were also (including myself) being deined test drives. The car basically never took off because of things like that and now is being discontinued.

You hit the nail square on the head Captain. That is the exact reason why the manufacturers need to start selling direct like Dell. Just imagine how many more Evos would be sold if Mitsu started selling them directly as well as through dealers. The mark up problems would be completely gone!

I didnt have a problem test driving my MSP. They wanted me to test drive it, and I bought it the same day it arrived on the lot...

Dealer and franchise laws do not allow car manufacturers to sell vehicles outright in this country, sadly. Even if you buy a car on the internet, the site or company you did so with must go to a dealer and purchase that vehicle.
