Did anybody hear about SCION ???

There's 2 of them the SCION A and SCION B I think. Same motor(108HP), drivetrain, pretty much all the same. One is like a 4 door car(maybe more like a Pontiac Vibe look) the other looks like the Honda Element, with the squared off rear window. Base price is roughly $12,500 and $13,500 respectively. Looks like it's one of those cars geared for younger drivers....I think it's kinda ugly, but whatever...for that price, they'll probably sell pretty well.

SCION xA

SCION xB

I just compared size wise them to P5 and they have more handroom. Weird.. My dad wan't to go and drive test it. I'll compare it to my P5 and say a big NO, but it maybe be good quality wise. doesn't toyota makes them?

Yeah, they're Toyota's attempt to get younger people to buy their cars. I think they're ok, but too weak.

Yeah...I noticed it's got the toyota VV-Ti engine, but damn is it small....It's weird to see them compared to the P5...No comparison in my book. Hell, even HP-wise the P5 blows it away...

Does anyone want to start a pool on when toyaota will pull there heads out of there ass and realize young drivers want performance and looks not a boxy and underpowered grocery getter?

the only thing about that is..... the Scion limo went over really well at a High school prom thing.... Autoweek test drove it to an actual high school prom and it was hands down LOVED by all the students... and I see Elements(with young drivers) everywhere so I would have to say that Toyota made a smart move...

yeah they said that it was really bad when they got on the brakes with 4 prom goers inside too...

edit: but then again it is a limo... no one needs to be blazing down the street any time soon..

NO you read it wrong.
They said, it really got going when all 4 got inside the bad prom girl!
(rofl)

Who the hell would want to buy a car that says: "hey, its cheaper than a corolla" , that and the fact that theyre FUGLY.

Ive read about them in magazines, there are suposed to be tons of dealer installed "tuning" parts, like bodykits, lighting, etc... and their demographic target is people between 18 and 23 or something like that, I have yet to meet someone that age that has not said they were ugly.
