Just wondering, but has anyone made a bracket that allows a front liscense plate to be somewhere other than the stock place? I relocated it as in the picture below, but my dgm urethane lip will be going on in a few weeks, and the bracket will not fit with the lip installed. Any ideas? I dont want to put the liscense plate back in the stock place, and I dont want to just zip tie the plate to the new lower grille I'll be putting in also.

Have mine off to the side, currently. Bought a bracket from honda-tech for change (similar to Cusco). I'm not fond of the look, but I'd rather block my intercooler as little as possible.

Where can I buy that bracket? I think I'll try that setup.

Thanks!

To be honest, I'm not sure they're even selling them any more. If you're going to do this, measure it out and make your own. Mine doesn't fit to well.

I've always taken the front plate off here in CA and the cops seem cool. I'm just going to avoid tinting my windows because that pisses them off.

what if you just take it off and put it in the front windows at the botton on the passengers side?

I'm not gonna risk getting pulled over for that. It may be okay, but I dont want to give a cop a reaosn to pull me over, especially since I do get follwed by cops (because I'm a teenage driver in a fast LOOKING and bright blue car). Plus, my insurance is absolutely ridiculous because of my age, so I cant risk making it higher with a ticket.

Thanks!

Evo8 bracket straight from mitsubishi + slightly modified to fit my front bumper. The curve at the top of the bracket curves around my bumper almost perfectly.

Besides, if you're in an accident, do you really want a sharp piece of metal flying around the cabin?

Make your own bracket that'll clear the lip. I made one for my car for less than 5 bucks out of aluminum bar stock.

Thats the ticket. Some of that and a dremel tool will do it. Home Depot special!

**** the plate ;)

naw i do ghetto sometimes, just zip ties to the holes :)

I have been pulled over for having mine on the dash b/c its not completly visible, but i told the cop i caught 2 guys trying to steal it so he let me go.

I keep mine in the glove all the time and use the good ole' "I took it off to wash my car" excuse. ;)
