I detailed a red MS3 today that belongs to a friend/coworker of Dave (djza2u1). He was impressed with the work I did on Dave's STi so he had me do the MS3.

He wanted a full exterior detail and the wheels taken off and waxed.

Process:
Washed with Foam gun
Clay
Washed again
DACP w Meg Cutting Pad and a PC7424
Sealed with NXT
Meg Interior Quick Detailer for all black plastic on exterior
Stoners Glass Cleaner
HiTemp Wheel cleaner
NXT on wheels
Engine Bay and wheel wells cleaned with Meg APC 10:1
Hyperdressing 3:1 on tires

Pics:

After 1 pass

After 2nd pass. I think since it was in the sun in my garage it was too hot. I ended up shutting the garage door and gave it 2 more passed, rear bumper also.

Rear pass fender before, again same thing it was in the sun and too hot, so I did this panel again in the shade but no pics

It looked better after the shade, but still not 100%. My pad is toast now and I didn't have a fresh one to work with (gotta order one this week)

Looks nice. What cbe do you have?

That's a Mazdaspeed CBE, he's also got a test pipe and it's nice and loud, throaty but not obnoxious.

Nice work Dave, I hope to get mine prepped for the winter this weekend coming up.

What exactly did you use on the wheels? I have two sets and would like to prep mine real well before I put them back on for winter. I did pick up the Poorboy's Wheel Sealant, any other recommendations? I think I'm going to get some S100 on Friday before I adventure in detailing.

It's in my original post, I've quoted and bolded what I used on the wheels. I've used S100 on wheels before, it doesn't last that long though, try a sealant instead.

Sorry I didn't notice it. I have some Poorboy's that will be going on the wheels to try.

No worries bro! Alot of info was posted so it's easy to see how it got lost.

The poorboys should work nicely. let it cure on the wheels for a few mins before removing it and you'll be good to go! And take pics for us to see!

Wow, great job, a lot of work. Taking those wheels off, cleaning adn waxing them must have taken some serious time. Hope you got compensated well for that!

It only took me about 30 mins longer than it normally would take. I charged a little bit extra since they wanted the wheels off, so it evens out overall.

Good info, thanks again! I'll set up a whole thread when I start on it Friday night.

sweet!

I need to get my winter wheels out of the corner of the garage and clean them up before they go on the car, I'll probably start a thread when I do also. I gotta prep my car and the wife's car for winter as well.

Yeah, my AS tires are on our Millenia while I repaint the wheels. I am trying to get them finished real quick so I can swap my summers back off. I'm not terribly worried about the wheels the summer tires are on, since they've seen better days. I got them for a steal and couldn't pass it up, so I can clean them up in the spring.
