Denso Iridium ITV22 spark plugs

do you have the ms ca intake. I went through plugs rather quickly. I do not like iridiums for performance driving i don't think. I have the itv 22s with about 4000 on them. Have you looked at them and checked the gap again. Also when was your car manufactured?
I just put them on like 2 days ago, and yes I have a mazdaspeed 3 CAI.

I hope i am not getting off track, but will the accessport graph you the timing in relation to rpms? or throttle position? Thanks.

Yes, the column to the far left is for the number of seconds you have been logging, the next column is your engine revs. Column G is your relative throttle position, and column J is your timing for that RPM. Granted, the letters are only for the attached example. If you add or subtract any parameters that you want the AccessPort to measure, the columns may change.

See the attachment for an example of the knock retard I was getting before the ITV22's. See my above attachment (previous post) to see the improvement in knock retard after installing the ITV22's. Quite an improvement for $45.

If you have additional questions about the AccessPort, let's take it to PM's so we don't threadjack.

I hope you guys find the before and after helpful. And thanks for letting me visit from the MS6 forum! :)

Yes I have the air straightener, wouldn't run it without...at this point I just don't have any reason to run a one step colder plug. I'm going to either order up the Denso ITV20 or just put a new set of OEM FOMOCO 0000-18-L3Y3's back in...I've taken the ITV22's out at this point and re-installed the old stockers for now. So your running the ITV22 with the stock DP/MP? Any ill affects from running a colder plug. Most people using this plug have more power/boost, catless DP, AP etc...My car threw a P0300 after installing these, random misfire code. All my vacuum lines are fine no leaks, this happened right after the new plugs went in (less than about 50 miles) so, I took them out right away and put the OEM's back with no further issue. Maybe my car didn't like the .028 gap on the ITV22, don't know.

i did not replace to the colder ones til i started to mod the thing. I have used the stock plugs, ngk colder plugs and now am using the denso colder. I am running it pretty hard and create some heat when i can find someplace to do so. I have a bit more boost from stock though. I have not checked it in a while though. i should still be around 17 -18 in fourth and fifth gear

I went IVT22's for safety and have not had any problems. I had no way of viewing KR before with the stock plugs but I have a Scan Gauge now and I have zero KR.

I did not check the gaps before installing them because I was told they were pre-gapped and don't mess with them. They all looked to the eye to be gapped the same.

My car runs great.
