Before you get all mad that i am posting here, or reposting I posted in warranty questions and no one answers me and my warranty is up in 2 days.
Ok so i have 2 blown out speakers and my a/c switch (that controls the direction of the air) does not work. I take it to mazda, and they see i have a CAI and the guy says he wont touch my car. I call up Mazda NA they call the dealership (DELRAY MAZDA) and say since it is independently owned they cant do anything. I put in a formal complaint, but is that all i can do? There is not an abundance of mazda dealerships i can go to. Can i print out the law that i have the right to mod my car and take it to him? What if he still wont touch it. PLZ HELP!

print it out, throw it in his face and tell him to ******* fix it. Thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard...

how the **** does a CAI cause speakers to blow out(uhm)

that's one of the stupidest things i've ever heard.. your next trip to that dealership should be late at night with some brake fluid.. oh no, that would be wrong.. but i would certainly find another dealership-- one with some competence.

well laoud music can cause them to blow i can understand why a dealer wouldnt do that part but the AC switch is stupid theres no reason they shouldnt fix that

dude.... all that increased airflow knocked his AC Switch the F*ck out ...

seriously though, the Spirit of the Moss-Magnusson law which protects us from such warranty denials in essence, Says: To be denied warranty service, it must be proven by the dealer that the aftermarket part is what specifically caused the damage. If they don't buy that, you can always contact SEMA and see if they can help. www.enjoythedrive.com

oh man...that's the most rediculous thing i've ever heard. all the air flow from the CAI...you must've been chillin' in your car ! all that cold air ! A/C controls couldn't take it !

none of the dealerships I have been to have given me trouble with fixing warrantied items, simply because I have other completely unrelated mods

dude needs to be castrated and forced to eat them

Damn, what a crock. I took my car in with a rod knock and they replaced the motor. CAI, motor mounts, big sway bar, springs, etc...Not a word about the mods

first off you are most likely dealing with some moron out in the service department.....go to the main office and talk to the OWNER of the dealership...if he doesn't get your car fixed...ensure you tell him how dissatisfied you are with his service...and that you are going to spread the word and ensure you do all that you can do to ensure EVERYONE YOU KNOW and even people you do not know will NEVER EVER step foot on his car lot.....

then the only recorse you really have is just take your car to a REAL MAZDA dealership.

Your A/C problem sounds like it would be an easy fix. I would take pics and walk you through it but my car has been in the shop for a month now. Take a flashlight and look in the foot wells under the dash towards the middle of the dash. There should be this big white plastic thing that moves when you turn the direction knob and the cold/hot knob. The knob on the left moves the plastic under the passenger side, and vice versa. If one side doesnt move with either knob, look for a black cable with a wire bent into a circle sticking out of the end. Snap that onto the white plastic thing, and clip the cable into a little metal clip on the same white plastic piece.

For the speakers, I will send you mine if I can find them. They are POS speakers, so now would be a perfect time for you to upgrade them.

Just as you dont try to take it the dealership on US 1 in deerfield beach....I had to RIP one of the salesman a new A$$ when he tryed to scam me into my protege5. The parts dept is the same ...I stood by the parts counter for more than 5 min before someone can help me ...and then they saw that I owned a 93 RX7 TT with 43K on the clock and that was teh only time that they came running to help me.

That sounded almost as ridiculous as someone telling you "Oh, since you switched new rims, your broken power door lock is not covered under warranty."

Just be stern about it and tell the guy if he know what he's talking about. Ask him to prove that he has common sense. LOL

hmmm, thats ummm...stupid, the way i see it, you oughta put in speakers to handle the stereo not just a cool stero and junk speakers

thats BS. by law he cannot deny you the awarranty claim on the defective a/c knob because of a cai. the blown out speakers i can see because they have to be abused to blow.

all dealerships are a bunch of assholes. Im being dead honest. Blown my trans 5x in my 03 p5 and they still give me s***. Telling me its my tires causing the problems, then the intake, now they say im just nuts. I told them if they want nuts ill pull down my pants.

5 BLOWN TRANNIES!
I would definately pull the lemon law out on your car...ESP. since its an 03...Mazda would definately be buying that car back for what ever i initially paid for it if it was mine!

Thanks for your help. I know what you are talking about but i cannot find the cable to re-attach it to the white clip. It is like no where to be found. And i wish i could upgrade my speakers. I am barely making my insurance payments.

I got my car from Delray Mazda, but I wasn't involved in the purchase. I've only been there once, but I only dealt with the salesmen (not the service department). He did seem a little clueless.

asshole dealerships tellin me the noise now is from my rims. Droped off the stock tires last night they call me this mornin askin for locks which were in car They never touched it all day. Can u say gettin a new asshole cut
