Get the used S if you can take care of your car really well.
The warranty really doesn't matter after 3 or 4 years.

I just found out that the car doesn't have ABS/SAB/SAC is that a big deal? I can't believe ABS is not standard!

yeah thats the safety package... it is not standard, though you do have dual front airbags and four wheel disc with the s, not sure on the I trim it may be rear drum i just don't know. abs deffinatly helps stop faster in an all out emergency stop but other wise i really don't care for it... have had vehichles with both and it never impressed me enough to make it a must have on my cars/trucks... i believe that package is also paired with tpms as well (tire pressure monitering system)

ABS never impressed me either. I grew up with a dozen ABS-equipped cars and only needed it on the ice. Now I live in Florida so I don't care to have ABS.

I test drove the 06 manual. What a disaster, every time I shifted gears it jerked like mad. I kept stalling it at lights.

Dude how much of a down payment do you have available?....I am sure there is a Much better 3S out there somewhere if you look for it. Do not settle for something you do not want....If you want the S model...get the S.

with $16,000 you can get a great S, have you ever been to Autotrader.com? Ebay? .....or to a lesser extent Carmax?

you can get a great deal, just be patient, and get what YOU want.

jdragon is right, if you want the s shop around for a better used option, my trade in rolled into the dealership, so little did they know i wasn't leaving there unless i bought a car... not a situation i want to be in ever again.... what a pita!!!

What model were you using? My 05' 3 S goes into 4th when I hit 90.

he had an automatic, only 4 gears, you have a manual wich has 5, and yes 92 is the cut off at 3rd gear a believe..

very nice... yeah its hard to get them to move on the price when they are sellin well at msrp, try to get them to give you more for your trade, or an xtra year on warranty or something...

Yeah, mine's a 4 gear auto. I figured that 106 was a little high... is his stock or did he upgrade it?

i have an "i" model...and yes mine went to 106 in 3rd.


but i have a question because he didn't tell me which way i should test it...manual mode or just straight auto......when i am in just straight auto i get to 95. so just so there isn't any confusion
