Does any one know how to get the dealer sticker off your bumper..id appretiate some advice (and some spelling lessons)

If it is one of those vinyl decals then use a hairdryer to apply a little heat (don't use constant heat on the paint) and catch an edge with your fingernail and peel it off. Then use a little rubbing alcohol to get any residue off

oh and www.spellcheck.net as needed :D

Goof off; you can get it at HOme depot. just put some on with a rag or something, let it soak in for a second and it should come off with some simple peeling/rubbing...don't let the goof off dry on the car though and make sure to wipe off all excess, and wash with water and some car soapafter wards. for good measure, give the whole thing a nice bath and polish/waxing with some quality stuff...good luck.

I took mine off the day I got my car. It was about 80 degrees outside and I just peeled it off one letter at a time with my fingernail, scubbed a small amount of glue off with a soapy mesh sponge, then waxed it. Worked good. I've done this on every car I've owned.

Use the hairdryer like Monstermile said. If you can't get your nail under it, use dental floss to pull it off. The mint flavored ones work best. :D

Is your dealer on Crack?

Did you give your dealer sh*t?:

Seriously, I haven't heard of a dealerships applying advertisment stickers to new cars since the early 90's or late 80's. What's up with that? Even more amazing, it sounds like it's common State-side. You see, up here in Canada, the dealer advertises by putting a lame license plate cover with the dealer name around the rear plate.

I would "kindly" inform your dealer that what they did was wrong. I mean, what gives them the right to put anything on your new property? Did they ask you if it was OK? You should approach them and say, "if you want me to advertise your company, pay me, or cut me a SERIOUS break on an accessory." It's that simple.

Now, here is my advice to get the decal off your paint. I'm sure all the other members' suggestions are great, but why should you go through the trouble and spend any money on chemicals? Take your car to the dealer, tell them that you did not give them permission to apply the sticker, and request that the dealer remove it. As an added bonus, if anything goes wrong while they remove their property from yours, the dealer is on the hook for the repairs to your paint. This worked for me. Before switching to Mazda, I owned a Honda Civic -- back in the mid 90's. The dealer applied one of those lame-ass stickers and I insisted that they remove it. The dealer did and ruined took the clear coat with it. In turn, they had to send my car to the shop to have the clear coat reapplied.

Think about. You paid for the car, not the car with the dealer's name on it.

They apply the sticker before the car is even delivered. So technically it is their property when the decal is put on. It is all part of the dealer prep.

One thing that bothers me is drilling into the front bumper for a license plate frame. I live in a state that does not require them so I was limited to buying from dealer stock instead of the dealer trading. I think those should not be put on until the car is sold.

My dealership goes all out...

Sticker/logo on the back under the Mazda badge. License plate frame on front and back and the oil service sticker on the windshield.

It made going to another dealership a bit of a pain when my car was covered with 'Flemington Mazda.'

I told the dealer to take it off or else I wouldn't drive it off the lot. Problem solved. and if they would have screwed up the paint, they would have been liable.

Have them take it off...go back and tell them to.

we sell both mazda's and mitsu's...i had a customer buy an evo...we took off our stickers and the "lancer" badge when he bought his...make them do it...it's their job!

I screwed up my finish getting mine off.

Someone told me to use nail polish remover and a credit card to scrape it off.

There are now about 300 little scratches in the finish in that area. Looks quite ghetto.

So, don't do what I did.
