Are there any MSP owners in the SF Bay Area entering their cars in the De Anza Autocross this Sunday other than me? I'm hoping I'm not the only one representing MazdaSpeed. This is a perfect event to show off our cars. Lots of corners and not too many straights!!!!

For those who haven't heard about it, and are interested, De Anza college closes off one of it's parking lots and sets up an autocross course with cones and tires each year. There are on average 2,000 people who come out to watch 300 cars compete in three different categories. Stock, Significant Mods, and Anything Goes. I'm not sure if there is any prize money involved.

Registration starts at 7:00am in Parking Lot B. But get there early!!!

Anyway, if you plan on going, post a reply and maybe we can caravan there. Otherwise, I'll make sure and take some pictures of me tearing it up on the track, and post them here for all to see.

If you are planning on going, you'd best be there by FOUR AM!!!! If you arrive to get in line by seven, you have NO chance of getting in....

I won't be bothering with De Anza. Even the autox diehards here say the event itslef is pretty bad.... it's a social event rather than a real autox...

Come join us at Marina Airfield on June 8 for a NASA event.

If you're already a SCCA member, come out to the Candlestick event on 24 May, or Marina 1 June...

No....I knew you had to be there that early. I went to Bay to Breakers instead. (Though I talked with some friends of mine and they said there was an MP3 there that did pretty well) Wish I had been there, but I just bought my car 2 weeks ago, so I wasn't entirely comfortable pushing it this early. I'll be there next year though, and I'm sure you'll see me around other events in the Bay. Did anyone else go? How did you like it?

I don't know....what's it all about? where is it? How much does it cost? And what does that get me? I'm interested, but need more details. Thanks.
