DDM Tuning Apexcone Raptor HID Kit - $30 plus shipping

As far as looks go that is better but if anything happens you're gonna hate youself for having to take off the bumper each time something happens.

I know, i've got my fingers crossed like everybody else running cheap HID kits, I just hate having a bunch of added visible wires in the engine compartment.

I just attempted to install the H3 fog light bulb into the fog like housing and I can't even put the lens back on due to the rear portion of the bulb hanging too far out. I read previously that someone had the same issue and threaded it like 3 threads on each side of the lens then sealed the rest up with goop. I can't even get the screw to thread.

The only way I can see this working is to cut a hole in the back of the fog light housing to let the ass of the bulb hang out. Ugh, anyone else have this issue and find a workaround?

I installed mine the other day and got creative with it. I pulled the front bumper and mounted them inside the fender. They are up high and they won't get hit by any dirt or water, plus they are completely hidden. Wish I would have taken pics of the install, but I will take some of the wiring.

thats how mine are mounted
makes it look alot better, and even if they do get wet, it wont really do nything

Here is a picture of the fog light. I don't understand how anyone can screw them back together with the end of the bulb hang out. The two highlighted areas shows about how far in the lens sits. The bulb would have to hang out through a hole like 1/2 and inch to close the lens all the way.

Installed my 6k. They are pretty blue. They are alot brighter than and regular bulbs on the market and fine for city driving.

However, on a late night drive to Seattle, they are damn near dangerous in heavy fog (without a projector retrofit). I suppose this should be common knowledge but I couldnt switch out to my silverstars in the freezing rain and snow. Doing it "the right way" has been put to the top of my lists for new mods.

Sorry to thread-jack, I'm riding an MS3 and will be buying a set for my lows and fogs. Great deal on these and they have a lifetime warranty.... Jump on this!

That was me, and I probably put a little too much pressure on the back of the bulb to get the screws started (eekdance) Either way, they are in and work. If you need too, I would say go ahead and cut out the back if you want to, just be sure that it is sealed up good and tight, one way or another.

Has anybody had a successful HID fog light replacement with the P5 fogs (with this particular brand)? At the price they're giving them away for I'd like to do it but only if it doesn't involve modifying the housing at all.

Yeah, I went ahead and drilled out the back and used the grommet the lights come with to seal it up. Overall fogs were a pain to install for a novice such as myself, but they look pretty damn good.

I also had an issue with my front passenger H7 low beam intermittantly working, so I picked up a wiring harness for lows and my fogs. It seemed to have fixed the problem, until this morning it failed to ignite. I'm pretty sure it has to be the ballast at this point. Any have experience with warrenty item with DDM?

H7 adaptor plug, so there was a local vendor selling lights and harness for $80+$20 to install. we tried to install the lights but figured out we needed that adaptor ring.

how do you guys go about that? he was gonna order the ring, but he doesn't sound real enthused about ordering a $10 part.........

there was like a spacer between the bulb and the wiring pins

it was about 1/2" long. when we put the HID bulbs in , the retainig spring couldn't reach the back of the bulb w/o that 1/2" .

confused without pics...

getting the retainer back in place on the HID bulb isn't easy.. but H7? why H7?

fyi, DDM cust support is horrible and warranty is kinda lame, i had some on my accord and a bulb went bad, they wanted me to take it out, send it to them, they would inspect and send me antoher. meanwhile i had to go back to the reg. lights. they wouldn't even let me do like a core charge.

h7 is what the car requires

there's like a plug that fits into the back of the bulb and that has 2 prongs coming out of it, that the OE wires hookup up to

sorry no pics, this car is a MAJOR PITA.

just talked w/ DDM both the $30 and $50 kits come w/ the adaptor.

only reason i'm choosing them is cuz they're cheap.
