j/w if anyone has ever done daul exhaust before cause im looking to do itwhen i have the time. i trying searching but didnt find anything. so if anyone has done it please let me no where i could find one for 2003 mp5

someone did a custom dual exhaust with the mazdaspeed sport mufflers. there is a thread somewhere on that.

While that looks pretty dec i would say itll be a waste o money unless it comes out that fresh and you dont use 2 fartcans.

Do what the fat dork in my town did - put a 'pipe to nowhere' under his K-Car convertible. 'Just for looks'.
(See also the air filter intake shaped like an intercooler)

rice=fake performance mods (including stickers for mods you don't or couldn't have)
-sorry for the rant. Do what you want - it is YOUR car, eh? -peace

I would rather see dual exhaust tips on a 4 cylinder with a body kit that is cut out for two, then to see a single exhuast on a body kit for two with a gaping hole on one side.

On the other hand, dual exhuast on a car with a single bank of cylinders is useless.

^ It would add more weight than performance...

I agree about the empty gaping hole on a rear panel tho' too...

The one in that thread is the only acceptable route I've ever seen for dual exhaust on these cars IMO. It functions, maybe not adding performance gains but still is original & good looking.

I've seen tons of cars with dual exhausts and they all have one common issue. If the pipe routing is done like the one in that picture, only one tip actually works. When the car is running, it's kind of funny to see exhaust only coming out one tip. And after a little while, one tip is really dirty while the other one is pristine. Also, sometimes the muffler shop hacks the job so bad the car probably lost power. I've seen it where the welds at the joint are really bad and block flow. Other than that, it really doesn't do anything.

How can you say it's a waste when you've put so many things (aftermarket parts) on your car and you get almost no gain from them. That's a waste! Just think how much money you could have if you didn't try to mod a junk n/a car.

Now, don't get me wrong. I have just as much as you do if not more, it's just hard to read my sig. But to knock someone for wanting to ad duals to their car is retarded. That's the same thing as addng the CF interrior peaces. Most of that is fake CF, yet you see it on almost every import car out there.

I say do it. But if you do spend the extra money and get the bumper that has the cut out for it. The extra weight will be what a whole 2 pounds, you'll gain that in one night worth of drinking. So don't go out drinking one night and you will make for it.

Dual tips will make it look like a small Mazda6 wagon, which I don't care for.

Personally, if I liked the body-kit that much, I would just have a body-shop fill in the extra cut-out and run a single exhaust.

Single tip exhaust looks sexy. A lot of body kits accomodate for dual exhaust setups but thats just because they think everyone is a ricer... lol

Single, least restrictive piping is best.

There is nothing restrictive about a dual set up. All it is in a split pipe. Making it split will never show up a loss of power on any graph. And like I said there really is no extra weight eigher. 2lbs at the most.

I really don't see the point of doing a mod like this. Even my GTO with true dual exhaust exits on one side.
Now to me, thats worthless. Maybe in the middle but not on one side. The main reason I like duals on a 4 cylinder is you get the same performance as a big canister (muffler) with out that over the top to loud buzzing sound.
