Dash Treatments

Does anyone know of an interior and dash treatment that doesn't leave everything all shiny a la Armorall? I don't like the glare created by a shiny dash.

wish i read this before I did the armor all thing yesterday
looks nice, but, have to make sure all spots are covered or it will look stupid
the window armor all is bad

Try Blue Magic vinyl/leather cleaner. No shine, and the smell isn't too strong either. Another good way to clean the dash is with a plain ol' wet chamois.

What you are looking for is a water-based protectant as opposed to a silicone-based protectant. Try vinylex or 303, if you want something locally try meguiar's #40(it is water-based but, does contain silicone). Any of those will give your dash a nice glow instead of that blinding bling bling shine. You can also let the protectant sit for a few minutes and them give it a final wipe down with a microfiber towel.

AmorAll is bad MmmK...
After years of use, it does more damge. It makes the dash brittle and crack easily under stress.
Plus, it stinks!
I agree with eggy...wet chamois all the way!

I use the "California Dash Duster". I love it! Looks great; just a bit shiny, and no residual mess. I'm finished using Armor All.

About $6.00 at Wal-Mart. It's all you need!

I use "Black Magic Semi Gloss Dashboard Protectant".

Like anything else, if you use alot, it will shine. If you use a little, it won't blind you that much. The citrus smell will go away in a short while.

I bought this b/c it offers:
-UV protection
-Anti Static [means less dust attraction] and this does work.
- and it's not Armor All.

I apply it with a Simoniz Microfibre Dust/Cleaning mitt. It's applied to EVERYTHING internally plastic I have except the clear gauge plastic.

I either use a wet rag to clean my interior trim or if you need to treat it I'd use Meguiar's Natural Shine Vinyl/Rubber Protectant. It won't shine too much to where it look "fake", it will leave it with a low gloss natural shine. Anything that is made by Meguiar's is the s***, they are the only company who's products I use on my P5.
