(bang) does anyone know an efficient way of filling in the holes left by the removing the front license plate holder. i like how the p5 looks without the plate much better than with it, but the holes irritate me.

If it is worth it to you - just pay to have them filled and re-blasted....most body shops will do it for decent price. I plan on getting my whole front end re-done, after a while your paint and headlights will get that sand blasted look - just from driving around ,,,,,,,

to actually answer your question....lol

many auto parts stores sell little plugs that are for covering just such things....and they are CHEAP....just get some of those....get out your touch up paint....put a few coats on them...put them in the holes...done deal.

get a car where the dealer doesn't put holes into the front bumper. ie. expensive sports car.....

btw does anyone know whats up with that? why can they not put factory plates on the front of these cars even if they are in CALI? and like I don't think cops will ever pull these cars over to give them a fixer ticket.,...

well i just moved from ilinois, which is a '2-plate state,' to wisconsin. which is also a 2-plate-state. my problem is that i could give a rats ass if im 'supposed' to have a front plate. i dont want it cause i think it looks better without. i think im going to check out sirnukes suggestion. although if i had the money, i would take equinox's suggestion.

i live in "taxachusetts" and we are a two plate state except i have only one because my plate pre-dates the required two plates, anyway, i buy my new p5 and the dealer drills ou the front bumper and installs their black plastic lic plate frame with the name of the dealer all over it! it was gone that day.
i put two small plastic plugs in the holes for now. i'm having the bumper repaired this spring because of all the rock chip damage and i'll have those two holes filled in too!

Well, normally they try to get you with that when they mistakenly pull you over and don't want to look like an ass. A friend of mine drives a black IS300 and she got pulled over (at the end of the month) and he looked around her car, couldn't find anything, so wrote her a ticket for not having a front license plate (they come without it I believe) AND for having her tint too dark (its factory tint). SOOOooo...either there is a fast an easy way to take off all your mods, put back your license plate, tint, etc. at the end of the month, and put it back on that the beginning of the month, otherwise, we're screwed. All I can say is...BASTARDS!!!(upyours)

I dont have a front plate on my mp3 and I have those hideous holes too - this spring they will be filled and my whole front end will get a new clear coat put on........if I get hasseled by the PO-PO I will just afix my plate on my grill some how - over a year now and I have not been stopped for it so far.
*(KNOCK ON WOOD)*

i got mine in my windshield, no cops ever really notice or care whether you have one on the front or not.

i never had one on my last car and i took the plate off my p5 the day i got it. so far i havent been stopped for not having a front plate (knock on wood)

I purchased my MP3 in Virginia, where front plates are required. There were no holes in the bumper or front plate holder. When I purchased the car, the sales rep said to place the plate in the windshield to avoid tickets. In the past two weeks I've been ticketed three times for having no front bumper, even though it was in my windshield. Right in front of my house.

You'd think cops in the DC area would have more important things to do than check for front plates.

what a bunch of bs. what, are there a shortage of krispy kremes in your area to keep the cops attention away from your plateless p5?

I recently bought my 2003 P5 and I live in PA so I don't need to have a front plate. However, the dealer brought the car from NJ and the dealer over there had made holes to the front bumper. (no) I told them that I didn't want the car if it had the holes in the front so they sent the car to the shop, filled in the holes and repainted the entire bumper (for free ofcourse)... Now I can't even tell where the holes were. (thumb)

They didn't put holes in mine. the fixture thing was still in plastic in my trunk. There Is two little dimples where the holes go but it doesn't look bad
