i wanted to get my CX7 which i just picked up sat, w/ foglights as an option. i believe it was a $350 option, but they didn't have 1 in the color CX7 i got w/ the options i wanted, w/ fogs. i called dealer i bought at, $275 for foglights and kit + $250 installation, $525 total. WTF!. that's nuts. any advice/suggestions? i explained how i wanted it as an option for about $350 but couldn't get it without waiting for 1 to come in w/ them,in color i wanted. i asked if i could get something off and they said sorry, it always cost less when u get an option when already installed on vehicle when buying...
i'm not paying over $500 for foglights. wouldn't mind getting aftermarkets but, i don't want to void my electrical warrentyfrom having someone else install aftermarket lights, and i also liked the look of the CX7 lights how they fit in perfectly where the cheesy black plastic inserts are now where fogs go... i'm pissed!

One of the reasons why I bought the GT. From a money standpoint, it made sense with the standard equipment. What didnt make any sense was buying the base model and building it up with options - nice structuring on Mazdas side to upsell the model ithink

in the meantime while i figure out what i want to do, how do those chessy black plastic inserts pop out where fogs go? i would rather just have them open w/ nothing rather than have them inserts. they cheese up the front!(pissed)

1, what is a GT? never saw that advertised. 2, i only could afford the sport. i got it w/ bose and sunroof and preferred pkg. i just got rid of a loaded $607/month acura MDX and wanted to save $200/month, so i bought the AWD sport w/ what i wanted in it minus the fogs.

duh, i just put that together. i was thining GT, like mustang GT. i was about to edit that part of post. excuse me it's been a long day...

I ordered my wife a set of fogs for her EB sport yesterday at the dealer. Gotta love getting a discount on parts as my dealer is also my Miata Club sponsor. :) Approx. $225 for the fogs and $170 to install. So for $295 she'll have the fogs installed for her Xmas present (alright)

haha np i felt kinda stupid actually writing that(shocked)

Yeah, I've heard they're pretty easy to install. I'm thinking of buying them myself and doing it...

i don't have time, working 60-72 hrs a week and raising a crazy 18 month old son and taking care of house and alot of property. last weekend i did the leaves, 51 bags, nuf said.
- anyone know if aftermarket fogs would void warrenty? anyoner know of nice aftermarkets?

i just shined a light under hood behind those black inserts where fogs go, and it looks like wiring is already there w/ plug just waiting for fogs. basically no wiring at all needs to be done. they basically have to take off bumper, plug them in and put bumper back on. $250 for that.....? WTF! i don't see how it can take more than 2 hrs TOPS start to finish.
