DAB radio for UK?

Does anybody know if the Cx5 audio system will be able to upgrade to DAB radio in the UK? I notice that Sirus is available on the US versions, so I assume that the system is software configurable.

My brother has a XC60 and the DAB radio is very impressive.

Before the CX5 came out, I asked about DAB and in a letter was told, 'they are monitoring the situation...' I think they are waiting to see how other manufacturers introduce them and waiting for better coverage as in many areas there is too much 'drop-out'.

Yeah but that is a poor excuse from Mazda. IF they offered DAB the unit could still have FM too for poor reception areas. Here in the North West our Kuga gets excellent DAB reception and I am missing it enormously in the CX5 during the Olympics

I agree and mentioned to them that it should, at least be optional

On my VIP per-release test drive thingy I asked the guy about DAB and he said had heard there might be an aftermarket thing for it, also that he'd heard of a mod out there somewhere that could turn the touchscreen into a tv!
