cx5 diesel
Bought a Mazda CX5 sport diesel the car so far has been like a Daewoo. poor build quality, seat has fallen apart 3 times , the cabin cooling has a mind of its own,the screen display dimmer auto dimmer does not work, kick panels fall off , the headlights are s*** we live in the country and they give limited range , hit a roo the other day as we just did not see it, when we purchased it the maps were 18 months out of date, the bonnet does not fit right, the bonnet vibrates on rough roads to the point it distracts you. and the list goes on never will buy one again

OK. What do you want us to do about it? Does your country/state have any lemon laws?

Kick panels fall off, hit a Kangaroo, and infinitum. WOW, sounds like a disgruntled owner who caused some of the problems. Sell it and buy something elso to complain about. :-))

when life hands you a CX5 lemon... you make CX5 lemonade.

thanks for sharing this usefull information...

Now, drink it up mate

There is a TSB to fix the bonnet vibration. There are threads explaining cabin cooling in GT models. IMO, the CX5 isn't a vehicle to be driven on rough roads as the suspension is tight and meant for smooth asphalt. Probably explains the kick panels falling off. There are aftermarket bulbs that are very bright. Haven't heard of seats falling apart, but they are slender and don't accommodate large people well. Many of your problems are addressed in these forums. Give them a read.

Sounds like you need a off road truck, the CX-5 is too girly for the rough stuff.

Give the guy a break, it is possible that he has a lemon.
All manufactoreres make some lemons, it was a Ferrari lemon that lead to the creation
Of the Lamborgini sports car . I know Audi has a lot full of lemons that
they bought up.
Headlights- are they adjusted correctly?
Stay away from bulbs claiming better brightness.Bulbs like Silver Stars
are tinted crap with small filaments that are short lived.
Best thing to do- measure the voltage to the headlight right at
The socket- I bet it is low, like less than 11v- this is
Typical due to most cars using cheap thin gauge wire.
Install a wire harness with relays - this can easily
Double your light output! I have two cars and a bike
With relays, great light output.

Did you do a test drive? For the number of complaints, which is quite high, it sounds like you picked up a car from a junk yard without even looking at it.

CX-5 do have their issues, but what you listed frankly is like 'Pandora's box' in one car. Quite unbelievable actually.

If you are this unlucky, does any of this apply for warranty repairs? It should.

I don't know. I'm not small and other than having to adjust the seatbelt latch if it slides down to far I don't have any problems with the seats.

As for the OP's problems have you gotten the dealer involved? Warranty?

I have some sympathy since I just took a huge loss in order to dump a Ford focus that was a constant problem and Ford wouldnt do anything about it.

Maps, download tomtom home and plug in the sd card and update your maps, you get free update for 6 months when you buy the car and register the tomtom.
lights, you're probably not used to how Xenon HID lights work.
auto screen dimmer, same, probably not sure how it works, lots of threads here about people not knowing how it works, turn your headlights on, and use the knob on the instrument panel to adjust, also setting on the infotainment setting to set it to either day/night/auto
kick panel, stop kicking it.
everything else others have mentioned.
