CX-5 Wheel play up, down and side by side

Hey guys, only my front drivers side tire is having up and down and side to side play. I changed my wheel bearing on both sides. and I did my inner and outer tie rod on drivers side as well because it was needed. could it possibly be my ball joint that is making the up and down side by side play on drivers side or something else? there is a significant amount of play.

Sound like a ball joint to me.

Yep, sounds like the ball/socket in the LCA - like you I changed the bearing before I found it wasn't the problem. Search the forum for our experiences changing the LCA

yeah my bearing was shot it had to be changed anyways

it is a lot of fun and joy! I replaced my front twice and then my right side once more again. I was off roading (stupidly) in the pits and bottomed out many times which messed up my suspension again and ripped off a lot of plastic front fender lol
