OK I did a quick CAD layout. If that road is at 45 % to the camera and shows about 20 deg then the road is about 14 deg.

Hard to tell from a photo, I might be willing to give him 16 degrees (but, you're right, it's not 20). Even the steepest part of that video I posted is about 20-23 degrees (and it's a lot steeper than the capture above):

I guess I don't understand why he's not backing down from the ridiculous 40-45 degree claim.

Glad you like it. I had two 96s and a 95. Did a ground up restoration on one 96, Made it a show car, then drove it HARD, because that is what they are for. They were so basic they wouldn't sell at all now but my goodness they were fun to drive, except in snow and ice, then they were crazy fun. Light weight, high ground clearance, FWD and perfect weight distribution. I remember driving through a mall parking lot using the throttle and hand brake for steering because the steering wheel did almost nothing. Put it in a parking space between the lines and got out and found I couldn't stand up. Black ice.

I already said I doubted it was 40-45*. I tried to download an app, but my phone is broken, so a picture is all you can get from me and maybe someone can auto-cad it. It's a mountain road and I was tired and didn't bother messing with photography yesterday morning. I think what I will do is hang something from a tree and photograph it from one side of the road to the other.

Measured the road in question, nowhere NEAR 40-45*.

Anyway, whatever it is, my AWD Jeep makes it up it, FWD cars don't. I'm happier making it home than not.

Mine was a 2010 HEMI QD2. It broke all the time, and I have no desire to own another Jeep product, past, present, future.
