2005 Mazda Tribute AWD V6
I took my buddy to see a movie yesterday and he was really impressed with my CX-5. He owns a Honda Pilot and a Mercedes Benz C300 and he was floored by the fit and finish and the tech. I'm very happy with it after 9 years with my Tribute. My wife also is ready to dump her HHR due to poor winter handling and is now jealous of the CX-5. Even with the little headaches I'm still so glad I finally pulled the rigger.

Bluetooth connection issues(iphone 5 doesn't always connect and typically cakes 1 to 2 minutes everytime I start the car) and learning curve to get good gas mileage. Like I said really minor issues.

The CX-5 has issues, no doubt, but with time, those little things don't seem to bother me as much (issues like using the voice controls to say "shuffle all").

My iPhone 5 always works via bluetooth. I actually timed the connection and it can be as fast as 20 seconds to getting into the car and resuming iTunes streaming. I would try to re-pair the system.

Wow. You actually own an HHR? I thought all of those were rentals. No wonder your wife is jealous. That's by far the worst modern car I've ever driven.

I got a great deal on the HHR and I got the GM discount as my DAD was a GM employee. It's been a reliable car, but the last winter was brutal and most FWD cars in Minneapolis had issues with our latest brutal winter.

Hey, good things come in cheaper packages. My best car for the buck will always be my '05 Suzuki Reno. Got it for $11,000 fully loaded. It ran like a top, was fun to drive, and was many thousands cheaper than cars like the Mazda 3 at that time. In fact, used 3's from '05 are still selling for $7-8K. But I dumped the Reno for not being AWD (when all it probably needed was good tires), and then that lead to my '08 Impreza-5 being a disappointment. After the Impreza, it was onto the GMC Terrain, which was a fantastic vehicle, but was co-financed and banged up by my ex-wife. And try to find a loaded Terrain for $30K or less! At long last, I've found myself in a CX-5 (my first two cars were Fazdas - '91 Escort and '93 Probe GT). Funny how the Mazda world works. ;)

I'll be getting my wife a CPO AWD vehicle this fall as I don't need two new car payments. At this point a CPO CX-5 with the 2.5 are just not at my cost level yet.
