2017~2025: CX-5 Fog Lights On?

On my 2020 Signature I have the fog light switch on the stalk turned on but it appears they only come on when headlights (not daytime driving lights) are on.

I have the headlights set to auto. Maybe the fog lights would stay on if I switched the headlights to manual?

Its common across many brands for fog lights to only come on when the headlights are on. Mazda included. They are designed to be used in conjunction with low beams.

Yours are operating as they should.

I think I might get some fog lights but wire them for independant operation.
