CX-5 won't start, but tail lights remain on, computer wont communicate and dealer and insurance company say lightning hit it although there is no sign at all of a lightning hit.
Going by Mazda protocol they manually replaced the parking brake and alternator modules which did nothing. At my suggestioon they checked the brake switch - nothing.
Then they tried one other module... mid cam I think, and that did not restore communication. Insurance company has paid out about $2600 and Mazda is saying it could be thousands more to figure it out so they want to total car. It has 90,000 miles, been well maintained; and I would rather have it repaired.
Anyone with any ideas? Thanks
