Custom Turbo kit

well i just started my official kit. for 500, i got a manifold, cold air intake, 3 port valve, and heat shield from a buddy who bought partial of the kit from mam's sleeper kit. i have a smic from a gst layin around, so now i'm lookin for wastegate, bov, and oil feed/return line for now, and lookin for a turbo.
 
what kind of flange on the manifold????T3, T4?????

I'm planning either to build my own custom kit or buy a used turbo kit. Anyone could give me the full list of the parts that I need??? I'll appreciate if someone could give me the price of the parts also, so that I know what the budget is.
 
manifold, turbo, intake w/ internal wastegate (if there is no internal u need to purchase an external), intercooler & piping, bypass/bov, downpipe, good clutch, engine management system (haltech, mpi tuner, emanage, etc) or fuel management unit (fuel pressure regulator w/ flying miata voltage clamp (-9psi)...these are just items off the top of my head. not sure on price! but the main thing u need is patience and that is priceless

Thanks man :) Finally I have some money for the turbo, and I'm hoping I can get 180whp+(drive)
 
keep us posted if ya decide to put ya own kit together and let us know how it works out man! i'm on hold, as my dad just ripped me off 1400 bucks...URGH! so turbo project on hold, but once i'm back, it's all on!

The VF22 will support 350 Flywheel HP.I did a search and everyone that sells them says 350 max flywheel HP. You lose 20% through your drivetrain,so it should support around 270whp. Is their something done on yours to make it support more?

Our turbo is just a regular VF22. We have tested 331 WHP in our P5 and now 330WHP in the Mazda3. I really think that is over the limit.

Hey how come i haven't heard of this starter kit before...im also itching to go boost...but want to get a better clutch and exhaust first. what's the difference with this starter kit with the full kit? less parts or different parts altogether?

outflow the GT25R, GT28R and GT28RS, how about the spool up and lag on this IHI turbo?

are new fans needed with the starter kit? does it have egr and o2bungs?

Good questions PaulMP3!!!!!! my current manifold doesn't have the Egr fittings on it and I had to re-route from the downpipe...

If I does require fans...what kind are you currently using on your regular kits???

hey guys..i bought some turbo stuff, but now i need to get rid of it cause i just slammed my car into a guard rail! i got mam sleeper turbo manifold log style, mam intake, heatshields, 3 port valve, gst smic...purchases anyone? i'd rather sell it all together
