How would you even mount an Eaton blower about the exahaust mani. I can't even imagine it, cause the engine moves when you start it/give it gas, so you couldnt have one bracket going to the engine and one going to the radiator suport or anything like that. Did you have this figured out before you gave this up? I think it would be interesting to see what your plan was.
StuttersC said:WOW! Nice to see I still piss you off even though I haven't been around much.
I didn't know the WOMP was done. Since it can't be talked about or advertised here (last I read), I didn't see any need to ask anymore questions about it.
I never knew what the time line was for the damn thing. So, I guess as compeltion got closer, Matty wouldn't shut his trap and was told not to talk about it anymore. See the above paragraph if your are lost as to why I stopped.
I can see you've thought out mounting a different blower in there. Where did I ever say to mount an eaton or whipple on the exhaust manifold? No where. I guess Matty tried it.
Another thing you seemed to have forgotten is that once Matty or whom ever finally said he didn't want to redesign the INTAKE manifold, I let that issue go.
But hey, let's pull up old threads and try attacking me some more.

I was asking Rism how he was planning on mounting a blower on the exhaust mani. How did you even find this thread and not even read it?

I rode in matty's car. After learning more about F/I, I believe his design is suprior than those on the Mazdaspeed. He placed the correct amount of load on the engine at the different RPM. Mazdaspeed didn't quite do it right and that is why people are blowing their engines are stock boost. The critical knowledge he has allows the S/C protege to be able to boost more and have a higher CFM rate than the mazdaspeed proteges but at the same time be reliable under higher boost levels.
The only thing is i wish his p5 had A/C.
Super Matty P said:some of the other neat things about the design are like in that SCC mag article I posted online (both of them) where it discusses how a centrifugal supercharger puts load on an engine when it can tolerate the most actually making it safer. Also, having a large compressor allows me to cram more air into the engine at cooler temps decreasing the chances for detonation. Typically using a larger compressor like this means BIG lag but since the blower is belt driven it's always spooled.
There are MANY pluses to this kit and only 1 drawback. Nothing is without it's compromise. I personally think the gains out-weigh the costs but I am showing favoritism.
p.s. I'm hoping to have Miller's car boosted with the new blower in time for the B-b-q.....we'll go for another ride then!
