They turned out really well. It's the most I've ever made at once and it went really well.

mine arrived today and looks very nice. the instructions seem pretty simple to understand as well. I'll be installing it this weekend.

There is a short cut when installing it, but I hesitate to tell people how because it is a little more likely that something will break.

But...you can install it without taking the whole center console out. Just pull the cup holder and remove the two screws you can get at. Then, with little hands, you can get the boot off and the new one on.

I did it that way when I wanted to check the size of the opening where the shifter goes through... pretty easy... Just don't tug on anything, be gentle.

got mine yesterday and slapped it on. looks great! pics to come. i just removed the cup holder and installed it. very precise fit. great quality.

Leather?

Alright folks, I need a little input.

I found a place locally that has leather, but I have to buy half a cow at a time. Not cheap, but if there is a decent amount of interest in my custom shift boots in a nice black leather, I'll go ahead and buy it.

So, what do you all think? I would need to charge $55 for these to make up the difference in material cost.

So, let me know if there's any interest.

Well, I'm not really sure. I'd need to see how the interest is, then pick up the leather. Then I'd need to do a test boot to make sure my machine can handle sewing leather. So earliest I would be able to offer them for sale would be early next week.

Probably more info than you wanted, but that's the way it looks right now.

Alright, picked up the leather this weekend and made my test boot. Everything went great! I'll probably be starting a new thread with the details and an order form...hopefully tonight. I'll post a link in this thread to that one.

Now, back to work.
