Curb Rash on Front Bumper

Okay, so I got some curb rash on my front bumper when I pulled too close the other night coming home to my apartment. Pissed me off to no end. I am pretty meticulous about my cars. Anyway, not only is the black air dam portion scraped up but the underneath of the painted front portion (air dam/bumper) is also scraped. This was a fairly high curb and yes, I had a few drinks. Nothing cracked on the bumper.

So I know to really fix it, I should have the whole damn thing painted and replaced the air dam. However, what can I do until then? Should I try to use a super fine grit sandpaper on the black plastic part to smooth down the scrape marks? Touch up paint on the painted part? Really you cannot see any of the damage unless you are lying down or down on one knee looking for it. Suggestions?

(wow) I am sorry to hear it man. Don't drink and drive... for the poor mazda's sake.

i wouldn't waste time on it if it takes that much to see it. That part of the car is likely to get hurt again.. wait until you have a lot of miles and tons of rock chips and then fix it.

I've done it a couple times completely sober too. Just not careful enough, I guess. I try to pull up too close to the curb. Almost wish I had parking sensors.
