cup holder LED's

has anyone done this to their MSP, i was wanting to see how difficult it is to do and how it looks....

it's new to me. i think i'd use a fiber optic line or some sort to line the rim of the cup. a LED would just stick out and you couldn't really stick a can or a cup in there anymore.

yeah my friend has LEDs, theres a small lip above the cup holder and below a/c controls. that you could wire some into. also in the a/c vents would look cool and in the door handles on the inside. whoever said they'd block the cups, led's are about the same size as the head of a screw... wouldn't block a thing. i'll ask him if he has pictures.

i was going to do this because my friend's civic has them but they are just normal bulbs but leds would look great. i was going to do it the way the keyhole light is done with a clear plastic window.

Haha, who are you explaining that too? Everyone who posted before you has over 1,000 posts. Hopefully they all know what that means.

jflo, if you ran a fiber optic line around the rim of the cup holder, there would be no light. Real fiber optics dont show any light out the sides of the tube, only the end of the wire lights up.

use electroluminescent tape if you want something pre-cut. A lot of computer hardware/ modding stores will have it in stock in several colors.

I put red LEDs in my cupholders. Matches factory perfectly. Even linked them to the gauge dimmer so they dim down. During the day, you can't even see the actual LED's cause they're so small. I point them out to SO many people and they insist they're factory.
