i read an article he wrote in a magazine about 2 months back anyway stating he was done with the skyline.. i thought i read he's driving some kind of porsche now-a-days.. wish i could remember what mag it was and find the article online.. but agreed, it is funny how many people lashed out at him on that forum...

he was former president/founder of NIRA .. has worked in the marketing dept for various companies including Meguiars, Toucan Industries, Magnaflow, etc. He was also hired by Universal (along with R.J. Devera) to help them learn the "culture" while making The Fast and The Furious and the Sequel. You can see him in the original film during the "race-wars" scene.. he is the one who is at the starting line putting his hands up then dropping them to start each race.. he is also the one who owned the Orange Supra used in the movie.. after the movie he sold it and moved on to the R34. Prior to the movie, his Orange Supra owned on the car show circuit.

He had a lot to do with building the import scene.. then he had a lot to do with ruining it.

edit: he also started his own website (www.moviecarz.com) to help those with show cars get their cars known to the movie industry, and he uses the pull he gained with Universal to get them into movies.

Craig L. cars are absolute weaksauce! Watching him ruin beautiful Skylines is like watching a racehorse get a broken leg.

He singlehandedly mainstreamed the market and sold it out for whatever cash he could get. I am a regular at FA and I am glad that they held it down!

I agree, Craig should get his hands out of modding cars...I mean he made a Skyline slower...what a dumbass...hes responsible for most if not all of the FATF and 2F2F main cars...all of which have been riced out and slowed down thanks to all of the decals and dead weight in those cars...Im glad the guys at FA held their own as I frequent that board now as well...

you guys who diss on FATF and 2F2F crack me up. NEWSFLASH: THEY'RE MOVIES!! They aren't documentaries. They're supposed to entertain and they do. Movies aren't realistic!! Does anyone complain that Jackie Chan can beat anyone he fights (even 5 or 6 guys at once) in all his movies? Nope. It's entertainment and unrealistic.

that's classic. i'm sure those vinyl decals weigh a ton. i'll bet the driver could take a good s*** and free up more weight than what the vinyl weighs.

I have nothing against the movies: However, it kills me to see the FATF product line in the stores-- it's pure crap. Had it been worth-while performance products, bolt-ons, etc. I would have no problem. I do however, have a problem with the ricers who watched the movie and ran to pep-boys to buy their APC junk and think they're underground street racers now. I don't blame the movie for that. I blame the morons doing it. It's their choice. It's not like the movie is making them be that way. People that watched Tom Hanks play a gay man in Philadelphia didn't run out and start acting like they were gay after they watched it. It was their decision not to do that, the movie had nothing to do with it.

The "ricer" community has no effect on me or my wallet. Come to think of it, because of the commercialization of the import scene parts are MUCH cheaper now. Ricers make me look fast.

If you seen him in the documentaries in 2F2F, he sounds like he doesn't have a clue what he is talking about!!!!!!!! I wish I had his money to whatever the hell I want with my ride. Come one, since when does NOPI and APC make parts for the Skyline???
