cracked windshield....wtf?!?

same here i just got back from the dealer today....no free windshield for me.......

yeah my last crack formed right after the rock hit.. instantly... couldn't even go fix the rock chip since there was a 6" crack already.

Same thing happened to me(im also on my 2nd, needing a third windsheild now). I was going to get my exhaust installed,and a mtorcycle cop kicked up a rock as he cut in front of me. Instantly got to be about 4 inches long. By the time I got to Auto R&D, it doubled in size. My insurance company said they would only replace it if it were less than the length of a dollar bill. I had never heard that before, but it was that long before I even got off the freeway.

They told me the same thing, I've been measuring that damn crack of mine with a dollar bill every day, but now it's about 1" longer than it :mad:

I guess if it's smaller it can be repaired, any larger and it needs replaced. Glass dude is coming to my house tomorrow so I'll see how that goes.

That and I got pegged for going 61 in a 35 the week before..... I'm screwed.


I no likey my pro anymore. I wasn't going 61, i was going 42, but my car had the look i guess.

I finally got a crack in my window it starts at the top and curves to the right. there is a tiny tiny chip in the black part of the glass
