anyone of this forum have dynochart posted? i'm curious where power is in the powerband or if there is loss down low. btw stock baseline seems wrong. 210 whp and 220wtq? aem cai gave 60+ extra torque? it's either filter was super dirty or engine super heat soaked.
Good point! BS torque gain of 294.8-223.6=71.2 ft-lbs (24.15%) FTL. Absurd. But, hey, you don't get a Rolex w/o knowing how to make people feel like they're getting their money's worth . . . and then some. They showed a nice, clean stock filter, but maybe if we do a frame-by-frame analysis, we'll see where he blocked off the stock box's intake nozzle with a rag or something.
Since CP-e's showing a gain of about 21 ft-lbs (250.9-229.7=21.2, or 7.25% and a very nice gain), they just must not know what they're doing. Funny thing also worth noting, since hp is function of torque x RPMs: it took a purported 70 ft-lb gain to produce the purported 28 hp gain with the AEM compared to a 20 ft-lb gain to produce a 16 hp gain with the CP-e. This seems to suggest the real gain for the AEM must have substantially less than CP-e's 16 hp.
Hey, FreeFly, no missing a gain of 70 ft-lbs on the ole butt dyno. Assuming you had similar gains, your butt must have torn a hole right through the seatback and had you hanging on to steering wheel by your finger nails!
