Cp-e problem with me

The argument is a little confusing. This is what I understand after reading the forums, specifically: http://www.mazda - 3 - forums dot com/index.php?topic=95829.msg1890698#new
Laloosh claimed the throttle was staying open longer after installing the fuel pump. cp-e said no. Laloosh posted graphs of tps vs. rpm to prove his point but they actually prove cp-e's point. While the fuel pressure does hold to redline, the tps voltage still drops after ~6k rpm. This happens both pre and post CDFP install.
I do not know the particulars behind why Laloosh got banned for a week but seeing that he was extremely confrontational toward cp-e on their own sponsored subforum, it's not hard to figure out. They pay money to sponsor a forum so you should probably not be confrontational toward them on their own space...
At the end of the day, before going so far as to say you'll never buy a cp-e product, you should remember that they're farther along in developing products for your car than anyone else. The speed6/3s are limited run vehicles so all of us should be very appreciative that companies are focusing on our cars at all. The cobalt SS, wrx, srt4, civic, etc. markets are much more plentiful in terms of numbers.
You should not confuse my statements with cp-e. While I do have a very good relationship with them and would very much like to be associated with their company, I am not. I paid full retail for the products they sell or I bought them from other members. I paid retail for the Standback, fmic, cai, and bov. I got the dp for $500 from chrissec14(sp?) and traded my stock exhaust for a cpe single cbe from a guy that didn't like the noise. I'm the beta tester for the fuel pump but I bought a stock pump ($360) to have them rework it. I would have been at the dyno this morning to actually get numbers and afr data but the appt got canceled Friday night at 6:20 pm (I still had to pay my sitter the $70 to watch my 3yo...)
The point is, I'm not getting my s*** for free. I'm as interested in making our cars fast as the next guy but the facts don't lie. The throttle remains an obstacle. The CDFP hopefully will go a long way towards fixing the mid range lean spots observed with bolt-ons and really help the upgraded turbo guys. What it doesn't seem to do, and Laloosh has demonstrated this, is keep the throttle plate open till redline.
Lastly, I apologize to Laloosh for not believing his times. 12.9 on blizzaks with the stock IC is freaking phenomenal and he has the slips to prove it. Before seeing them, I didn't believe it. Given all of the shocked responses to his times, it looks like my surprise wasn't unique. He must be a very competent driver and his car is running well. I'm really disappointed that I didn't get to dyno and MIR and Capitol have both closed for the season so I can't similar data. Anytime you're close to Baltimore, Laloosh, lemme know...

i wont get started with CP-E.

i know more about that company than i would think any other typical user , have spoken with pretty much every employee personally, and am the sole, only reason they have a pump kit coming to the market. i won't go into details, as, i have morals, and don't operate like the SU or CP-E do, and their business plan.

CP-E and SU are very very very closely related as to their attitudes on everything. they want to monopolize and will do anything or say anything to try and get more business. the only reason they are bashing laloosh is because of the pump he is running.

and i know for a fact that they are DYING to see a PG pump fail, but that will not happen because of the design and research that PG and the internal parts company have done. that design has been tested over 18months, over 60,000miles, and that is why i was comfortable with originally trying to push the product so fast by myself and then with Ken@ProtegeGarage.

PG is definately the way to go as far as questions, concerns, customer service, knowledge, ETC... i've talked with Ken like we were dating for a few weeks, about ready to pop the question ;).

the day i hit this forum with pumps and with the collaboration of PG i got a terribly nasty phone call with CP-E, and they tried to give me the business perspective on why i shouldn't have done what i did. they took the relationship i set up with them with the outside company and said, "thanks, we'll take care of you, we'll cut you deals, we'll send you a standback".... later it became, "K, we can give you a deal on a standback", to "k thanks bye." then told me about how i was in the wrong for working with PG because that gave them competition. (bicker)i told them, "this is like you guys calling and yelling at corksport about them selling a downpipe. you make a downpipe, they make a downpipe, then you sell it. the better price/product wins." Josh said "no, this is different". How??? Ya'll sell a pump kit, PG sells a pump kit, done and done. sorry you have competition, but this was my thing all along and i chose to reveal info and companies and contacts with you, and refer them to you guys. i am the reason there is a fix, so be happy you have that much info, or you wouldn't have anything at all. Josh and CP-E is pissed because the route their taking to do their pump is costing an arm and a leg, and therefore there price, quote Josh adams, "can't compete nor compare with Ken's" i just wish the iPhone had a recorder to record voice conversations that i've had with CP-E.

okay, thats a quick summary.

conclusion: Ken and ProtegeGarage is the better company (cool)with outstanding products and prices. (cool) I'm glad I could help them out and help out the mazda community as well. CP-E makes great stuff too, but in the last 3 months i've got a glimpse on how they feel about their products, business, and competition. AND I DON'T LIKE IT!!! (unforgiveable) (evil). they're identical to EIPtuning.com. good stuff, can say anything to make someone smile, but the behind the scenes stuff is s***. the 2 weeks i was in the business world my life was hell. Thanks to Ken and some other unmentionables, life is swell and everyone is happy.... except CP-E (rofl)

its great to get all of this off of my chest. massive stress reliever.

edit: and dadasracecar is very very heavily associated with CP-E. he's the reason drama got started originally. i dont care whatsoever. yet i'm calling you out as did laloosh - from the way i took it.

fair enough....however cpe claims the throttle on whatever car they are testing is closing at 5500rpm. Mine is closing at 61xx. Why would i make that up? for what reason? I didnt make this post for people to stop buying their s***, many took it to the extreme and said they wouldnt buy their s***, ban cpe, whatever the case may be. I simply wanted to make a point that they should get their heads out of their ass, they are not the only compnay doing things, and when people provide them with data, they shouldnt call it bulls***.

Actually that's the key to Laloosh's argument. He never said it held till redline (if he did, I didn't see it). All he proved is that it stayed open LONGER. After 6k rpms is longer than 5500, you agree? That's his point and it's pretty significant as our cars redline at a mere 6500 rpms. It has also improved his trap speed which is evident in his slips. So I fail to see where, according to you, he proved CP-E's point.

i cant go on the other forum...obviously lol. Can some1 copy past the last 10 of my posts. I really want to see WHERE I AM FUCKEN CONFRONTAL. I agree im pissed and confrontal now. They can't take negative reviews for s***.

To anybody that reads this and owns a standback. Does your boost value drop by .1 everytime you plug the unit into the lap top? Do your VTA settings randomly change to whatever numbers the unit feels liek giving out? Does your cpe intake on the stock motor mount hit the transmission weight in 3rd gear NO MATTER HOW YOU ANGLE IT. "The cpe way" Lets make our s*** sounds amazing, get a bunch of nutswingers and try to make a monopoly out of this.(nuts)

You know, politics are lame... but whats even more lame is to have a user banned. You know, there is nothing worse than having your companies name bashed and losing customers because of the drama. Companies should stay the hell out of the forums if they cant act like grown ups. Face it, each tuner company will have its cheerleaders. Myself have learned over the years, being a cheerleader never puts you ahead. You're better off being a ho, in bed with everyone and benefiting from the results of sleeping with everyone in the business. In the end, you have the upper hand and the smut on EVERYONE! When someone screws with you, than you show everyone their dirty laundry.

This is exactly what Jonathon is doing and i stand by him 100%. You know, we got the whole research on the fuel pump going from my simple post. I applaud Jonathon from going beyond with his own time, to introduce the solution. When he called me, he was elated by what CPE told him. Hooking him up on deals, not getting thrown under the bus by CPE, bringing the joy to every MS3/6 owner that more power can now be made. I didnt even think CPE would throw him under the bus, but guess what? In the end, he got screwed, not once but twice. Once from CPE and second from Autotek.

First of all, i think CPE owes both Jonathon and Loosh an apology. If they aren't man enough to apologize, than we as a community can ban the use of their products. In the end, who will this effect? Not us, there will always be others to offer us parts. To disrespect customers and people who help you bring products onboard will NOT get you ahead in such a small community. If this were a honda forum, that would be different, but its not.

So, what happens to CPE at this point all depends on you, the consumer. I cant believe this has gone this far and im very pissed off to hear this. Shame on you CPE, you owe them BOTH a public apology. If you think you can get away with this, think again. Im known in the hotrod community at exposing vendors like yourselves. Believe me, the way i do it isnt pretty and you will feel it. Balls in your court...

CP-E isn't so cool after this bulls*** they pulled, I mean WTF, get a grip CP-E and apologize, then you won't lose so many customers with open wallet's( like me on the 1st, lol ) their actions we're totally uncalled for.

CP-E started developing products for the Mazda 6 when no one else was and got their ass kissed incessantly as a result. I think that has gone to their heads and now we have a company that feel their products and data shouldn't be questioned.

Happens with every car manf my friend. They come and go. Only the honest ones who actually care about their customers, stay in the biz. The others abandon the platform and take their bs to the next manf.

you guys are cackling on like chatty women, reacting to each others speculation about how this guy thinks or that one feels.
I understand people are upset, but what are the lot of you doing to benefit the commuity right now? Stiring the pot, making sure the mob stays riled up. its riduclous and for what outcome? whats your goal? to prove the truth? I dont see proof, i see alot of bitching.
get back to the Proof, to the data, to the debate, because right now many of you guys seem like you got issues beyond fuel pumps.

I say this for NO other reason than Im someone who is annoyed by the pettyness of all of it, both sides, whatever. Someone needs to be the bigger man and step up, be the mature one and let it go, be the one to take the lead and show the way we all should be and act.

many of us do. And trust me, we can live without cpe's standback. Its the only thing they actually offer for now. The second cobb apcomes out, if it comes out, im selling this and my intake...hopefully it sells. The first couple of 11 second car will have NOT ONE CPE PART ON IT.
