Cosh68's UK Build

Shaun thats awsome news! seeing as mine is the petty 75hp version which dynotronics tell me is an easy correction to do with the throttle lift which you also answered on the thread i posted! is yours the 86hp version? im definitely jumping on the wagon once the paycheck drops! your build is awsome i will be stealing some ideas haha keep us posted on the tune and how it goes!

So, are these engines kind of like the CPU's or GPU's where they just lock some of the cores on different models? Is it the same engine with just software holding it back?

thats awsome shaun you should be nearing 100hp then? on the little 1.3 that should be alot of fun to drive swap the big wheels for light weight 15s and you will be flying! but i must admit the 17s look awsome! your build has inspired me to DIY my own exhaust once i get it in motion il post it up!

KROWtbk....

I am hoping so, a local Ecu-flash place that I rang about my wifes car (juliec71's) said they could raise that 10-12bhp & her Tamura is 10bhp more than mine ;-)

The exhaust was done as I didn't want to spend the 350 for a stainless cat back (local shop), I got quoted 450 if they made it dual pipe at the rear.... wanted to do the mid pipe with a mandrel bent tube but couldn't get it done so went for the jigsaw puzzle.... got the stainless tube & bends from a place that do pipework for food & pharma, the rolled end cap stainless box from a local firm all for less than 100....

This is looking awesome, I'm pondering this ECU tune as I have the sri cold air duct as well as custom (I think it's 2") stainless cat back reckon a good few horses would add up nicely, wondering if its cheaper for me to say borrow your cable, pay you a deposit, which I get back when I return you the cable, and that way save some money by only paying for the tune from dynotronics? Think that would work?

Awesome!!! Looks so good. Do you both like the quality? Install is mod-free? I'm really tempted to get a set of those.

inspekt....

Yea we both like them, if you look at the pics on my wife's build (juliec71) that was the process roughly apart from removing two screws that you put back in & disconnecting one bulb to plug the connector from the light into....

Whether the curve on one of mine is a bit off or the car is as one corner seems to stick out slightly, not a problem just not as flush as the other side, but apart from that build quality seems ok, we will see how long the LED's last....

Shaun....

Time to paint the bits I wrapped & do the bits I couldn't wrap...

Lets hope it all goes back together ;-)

Nice, those look great installed!

Also, I like the look of those tails on the True Red body.

Thanx 16vPete... yea they look pretty cool, not bad on juliec71's M2 aswell...

Had some bits wrapped ( not brilliantly as my first attempt ) & decided i should get round to doing the side vent bits... all in primer at mo, true red gloss coat to day... laquer this evening then hopefully back on tomorrw....

Shaun....

Well that's them painted, a bit of air & sun drying before we try the refit ;-)

Nice thread! Am loving those dual exhausts, looks mean! Looks like Mazda missed a trick not colour coding the interior too, looks awesome!
Any progress on those bonnet struts? Was there just trouble mounting them due to the HIDs and strut brace? Have been thinking of getting some myself

Had a great day out at the track again....

Some drifter's were there too....
