I have a buddy with scales and we weighed my Mazdaspeed. I thought everyone might be interested:
In lbs, no Driver, 6.75 gal fuel in tank:
Front: 1674 (61.7%)
LF: 829
RF: 845
Left: 1375 (49.9%)
Total: 2758
Right: 1383 (50.1%)
LR: 546
RR: 538
Rear: 1084 (39.3%)
Just for reference, I believe the Mazdaspeed brochure says the curb weight is 2843 lbs.
With driver (205 lbs) the F/R split was down to exactly 60/40 and the L/R split was 51.5/48.5
I also weighed it with and without my floormats, CD's and owner's manual in the glove box. All that stuff weighs 10 lbs. So for you racers out there it really does make a difference when you clean out your car!
The stock RE040's weigh in at 23 lbs a piece according to the bridgestone website. I'm expecting Hoosier autocross tires should shave another 20 lbs or so off the total weight (but I can't find definitive weights for Hoosier race tires...anyone know?).
