CorkSport SRI Cold Air Duct

HUGE thanks to CS. had a double order on accident( stupid internet) and derrick was right on it having the lady email me a label so i could send it back. most places id have to talk to someone on the phone and wait a week. awesome service.

also whether its me or the duct really. my car can go up hills without to much struggle now it seems to stay in a good range of power.

Yeah, I noticed yesterday I hardly notice the lug from 1st to 2nd anymore -- seems like the gear ratios match up much better now.

So in your opinion I should get this intake duct?

-Also Mazdamatic could you make some instructions for us/ ME lol on how to apply vinyl. OI got several friends in a car club that would like to apple some gunmetal grey vinyl on the hoods of their 240's to cover up some sh*tt* spray paint jobs and I would like some gunmetal grey on my Mazda two's hood. I'm really interested and have

GET The INTAKE DUCT... if you already have the short ram intake... get the duct... It makes a difference and you spend $80 on other things that wont last you as long as you'll have the car.. blu rays.. ps3 or xbox games... starbucks... i'm guessing but you get my point... plus yea.. $10 for the sticker is cheap.. considering if you go on ebay and look at trying to get a small window decal of whatever.. you'd already be paying at least half that.

took me a my boss about 20mins to wrap my roof. and that was with me having 0 exp (first day of work) now i could do it in 10 with help. its fun. good stress reliever. until you go to fast and get wrinkles and have to pull it up and heat it up or smooth it.

if you really wanna get angry wrap a mirror.

We wrapped the roof easy enough, the hood has the crazy curves on it.

yeah hoods suck. start in the middle and squeegee out rather than try to lay across. it makes dents and slopes easier to manage. i just get a guy to hold it then cut the backing halfway. lay one half. then peel the back off the other half and lay that. makes less wrinkles and bubbles along the way to have to press out or relay.

If we give it another shot I will try it that way.

does anybody know if you install the SRI cold air duct & CS Short Ram Intake will it affect the Mazda warranty by any chance?

It comes down to the dealerships. Capital Mazda offers our parts so they would be worth asking that question.

i have

>short ram and intake duct
>2in straight pipe from the manifold
>tower brace and torsion bar

ive gotten compliments from my dealership and they still mark them as OEM on the paper lol so its all dealership. technically (and i always forget what that law is but many on here can link you to it) unless the part causes something bad they cant void that part. lets say you hydrolock with the shortram by driving through a lake (dont please). or you have a CAI and drive through a 4 foot deep puddle. of course having the aftermarket intake did it. but they cant void it if lets say your brakes go out and they blame the intake. unless of course its cuz the intake gave your 50+ hp and the cars brakes couldnt handle it. which with this car is how it feels. =]

well with that being said, i just ordered the Air Duct + Intake!

As above, it all depends on your dealer. My dealer actually has installed my clutch kit, coilovers, front sway bar and rear torsion bar. And they joke routinely about my $35k mazda2... So I'm not really concerned.

But I know other people have had a crap time with dealerships and mods, so YMMV. That said an SRI isn't likley to cause a warranty issue.

Capital Mazda in San Jose, CA? I was planning on taking my 2 there for my services, through the dealer service plan, but i have been hesitant to order any parts because i have a 100k mile extended warranty that i did not want to void,
But if they offer your parts I'll be giving them a call soon to talk to them about my warranty! and then ordering from your website to avoid dealer up-marking (shady)

The prices should be close to the same between the dealer and us. Talk to Ken in parts.

Capital Mazda is right next to me haha. anyways, CS said theyre currently out of stock of the air ducts. i already put in my order, but they said they'll be able to restock by the end of October hopefully.
