ok, so here we go-
The Turboxs unit, if mounted in-between a stock downpipe and stock catback, requires an assortment of adapter plates that seem to essentially present two obstructions, two bottlenecks. also, the DP side always seem to leak/weep a little bit, no matter what. Oh, and there are no hangers. Oh, TXS uses the adapters because the pipe was made to be used with the TXS DP and CBE, not stock stuff.
The Corksport unit seems to use no adapters, presents a smooth transition, and has hangers. From what i've seen, it works perfectly inline with a stock DP and stock exhaust.
The fact that it has no funky adapters is important to me because exhaust tends to hug the inner walls of a path; that is why smooth bends are so important. The TXS pipe doesn't seem to offer that.
I'm curious now, what stock hardware is needed to mount the Corksports test pipe and does it leak at all? Again, the TXS unit seems to leak a bit at one of it's obstructions, but i know it could be a simple matter of condensation weeping as it changes temperate, expands, and seals up.
I am considering going from my TXS unit to the Corksport, but I am worried if any of the stock gaskets were marred from the TXS pipe. It's hard for me to remember and i'd hate to get it apart then suddenly need something.
Thanks.
