I had to drive it a little to get an overall feel and I give them 2 thumbs up for sure! I bet i'm putting down atleast 5 to 10 more wheel hp and tq that was previously lost from the wiggling. shifter feels more precise, engine feels tied down, car feels much tighter. GREAT mod for 35 bucks. minumal vibrations definatly worth the trade off.(first)

has anyone tested the difference in performance/vibration between the corksport mm and the TRZ dogbone?

The only thing that is keeping me from buying a new MM is the vibration. I love the stock, zero vibration feeling.

how was the install ???
im getting mine in the mail sometime tomorrow or friday :D

these inserts might be the easiest installaton known to man. it takes more time to prepare the car for the mod (jacking up, jackstands, etc), than performing the mod itself!

don't follow their directions... after you undo the 2 obvious bolts, undo the 3 bolt bracket too (you'll see what i mean). this will make it a simpler install...

I wish I had known that trick when I did it. My neighbor helped me do it in my driveway on jackstands (okay, cinder blocks - I couldn't find my damn stands). Neither one of us is little (I'm 6'2", 250 and he isn't little either) so it was entertaining with both of us under the car.

I think the performance of this mod is a lot closer to the replacement mounts than most of us realize. I didn't know the inserts actually change the shape of the mount until I put it all together. They do more than just stiffen it by filling in the holes. You'll see what I mean when you install them Asian.

Your post just inspired me to order these online right now, yay! I've been wanting to for a while, and I noticed you can buy black ones off their site.

Can't wait.

yeha thats what i did took off the whole bracket it was eeeeasy to 2-3 minutes max. but i used a friend with a lift and power tools made it easier...

My bolts were jammed and it took me an hour to get them loose. Alot of loctite and some rust is hard to break through, I eventually got a breaker bar and was able to get them loose. Definately undo the 3 bolt bracket, I don't know how I would have gotten the mount back in without that.

Get some jack stands, no cinder blocks!!! Not worth getting squished over. And think about the amount of blood that someone will have to cleanup!!

I'm doing this mod next!!

hmm, some nice penetrating lube should have taken care of that. i can't imagine they were so hard to remove on such a new car (nervous)(nervous)

They are torqued on there big time. It is the mount that holds the engine in place for god's sake, it better be hard to loosen

mine were not hard to undo. with the right leverage (aka breaker), 70-80 ftlbs should be VERY easy to undo even with hand tools. i just don't want people to be discouraged because it's really not that hard and the upgrade is great.

Im telling you it was nearly impossible, to get them off and I would not have been able too without the breaker bar. I was using my on the ratchet and they still wouldn't budge.

on a brand new example they are probably somewhere around 80lbs, so if you are not using an air tool on a moderately high tq setting that bangs at them, as i mentioned previously you'd def need a breaker type length to get them loose if you were using hand tools, even when brand new. trying to apply 70-80 lbs from a standard 3/8" wratchet is hard to say the least. i'm glad you were able to get them though w/o incident! the mod is def worth the trouble.
