Corksport Fmic

The air box looks cheap. The rest of the piping is all polished, and the air box looks like a cast piece (even though it isnt, but it looks all roughed up in the picture).

I think the airbox looks like that is because they have it wrapped in a heat shield. It looks all wavy and cast because that's just the foldable/cuttable kind.

And i think it's probably not necessary because a paper filter isnt' going to become very heatsoakd anyways.

But I'm sure the actual box is probably just welded pieces of thin sheetmetal, if you remove and polish it would look awesome, but I would probably leave the heatshielding on.

Closer shot of part in question

i already have my xmas present on order. i almost bought this the other day, but i want the pnp standback first and the new fuel pump.

I want to be a corksport *****. I love the exhaust I love the intercooler. I really like the way they use the intercooler ducting for the intake and wrapped the box in the insulating material. I plan to get this in the future.

Who would be stupid enough to take the crash bar out....(bang)

Most if not all the guys that a running the big intercoolers on DSM's have no crash bar... if ur car is a track car which is what mine is mostly its an option if u wanna make a one off intercooler setup... for right now i have cp-e's which is awesome.. but why not go bigger.

isnt the crash bar welded in on this car? If it isnt id take mine out for weight reduction and increased cooling efficiency!! only at the track tho

Props to Corksport for the creativity here. I can't wait to see dynos on a stock vs fmic car.

With the bumper on, looks exactly like my custom FMIC
