Hey guys i installed my CS oil catch can the other day, followed the instructions that CS provided and while i was out cruising with my buddies the oil catch can blew up!

no joke! the top is completely gone and it appears the whole can was glued together

needless to say the car died, but we managed to pull it into a parking lot and reroute the line back to stock config with pliers and a knife. I will be posting pictures later and contacting Corksuck about this. In the mean time i highly advise all of you to stay away from gluesport.
A buddy of mine who had an RX-7 said they used to make garbage parts in the past too...

I will no longer be doing business with corksport, especially after the fact they left a note in my box when i opened it, it read : this part was made just for you.
So i get a part made just for me from CS that does this? I dont think so never again

----UPDATE---- 1-26-13

been gone testing for police academy i know yall been wanting answers.

Yes a ticket has been opened up with CS i sent pics in to CS so they could investigate further, It was installed correctly as i followed the instructions that it came with trust me it was a mystery to me as well as to why it did what it did. CS will be sending me a new one soon as a good gesture on their part. If this can works then i will have restored faith in CS. (this is not my first boosted application either) have exp. with evos and lightnings.

I'd like to see pics of this. Problem I see first is, if the top blew off, you set it up wrong and were pressurizing the catch can.

Corksport makes awesome products. I have several parts from them on my car. I have never heard of someone blowing up a catch can. So, there has to be a reason behind why that happened. I have even seen cars run with homemade DIY cans with no issues

did you contact corksport about this issue? from all the feedback i see, they have great customer service.

if you didn't, and just posted this to vent, well... i tend to agree with the others in that you probably messed up.

Let's see pics of how you had it installed.

+1, OP hasn't been online since posting this though. Hopefully they log on soon, Im also interested in what the cause was

OP, where the hell are you?

unless you prove you didn't fail hardcore, i think this should be deleted.

Have you opened a ticket? We would like to see how you had it installed. The can, when installed the right way is under vacuum and not pressurized.
