I should clarify...my system parts came off of a donor (totaled) car..
I had the shop use a 2.5 to 2.25 reducer on the outlet, in order to keep the trim ring and valance in place (and un-melted). Like many of you, I appreciate the effort that Mazda put into the look of the valance. Besides, at that point, there isn't any power advantage anyway. But, I intend on putting the second muffler back on, and just having a smoother y-transition fabbed up.
After driving it in this cold Tucson weather ( I think we hit 38 degrees last night) it just doesn't look right with one hole doing all the work, and the other doing nothing...WHOA, that sounds dirrrrty. (But I'm not putting the smilies here.)
